An excellent Halfords store. Usually have what you need and service is always excellent - above and beyond pretty much all the time. Not for long though as they’re closing. Now we have to use the one on the greyhound in Sealand instead. Service is crap and never have what you need. Massive shame

Came in with a bike tyre issue and the desire to have the bike checked on my Halfords plan. Jamie said he wasn't too busy and checked the bike on the spot, found the needed inner tube and stated it would be ready later in the day. In fact, 10' after arriving at home it was ready. As the other repairs were so minor, it didn't need a service. In short, done in a couple of hours and at no cost as it was all covered by the policy. Amazing service!
Went today to check if they had a bike in stock and any availability to build it. They said they didn't have the bike in stock. When we said the other Halfords had it in stock but no availability to build it. They said there were quite free the young man at the till said we would need to pay the build at the other shop but they could assemble it for us which I thought was really nice. That's was top notch customer service. Something I will remember.

Work on my cycle took nearly four weeks due to not being able to source a basic replacement wheel for a cycle just over a year old and still sold by them. Not putting any blame whatsoever on the cycle engineer but wholly on the support Halfords gave him
Really good customer service.. saved money today as I was told to join the website for free an I got a good discount and free services . Only went in to sort my sons tyre out.. Mark on the till was very helpful and polite and very professional
Absolutely delighted with the service I've just received from all the guys at the Great Boughton Chester branch. I went in for AdBlue which they informed me if i signed up to their free membership, they would put it in for me and i would receive £5 off! plus I also got a car health check there and then (tyre pressure, depth, wiper check, battery, etc etc...and they also topped my screen wash up). Great service and very helpful and polite. Thanks to Jo and all the staff
Ordered Spray paint - Skoda Black Magic, but received Nissan Nero Black. I am very disappointed as had to send my wife 15 miles to travel, spend time, spend fuel and at the end got wrong item. Definitely will try to avoid Halfords further.
Unfortunately, I found the staff to be impolite and incompetent. I was looking for some T bolts to attach a ski rack to a roof rack. When I walked into the shop, there were four persons chatting and joking at the tills. After searching for the part for about 6 or 7 minutes, I tried to find a member of the sales staff for about another 3 minutes. The only ones I could find were at the tills. As I approached them, two moved away whilst the other two, who were clearly wearing Halfords uniforms, moved to the front of the tills area. I asked them if they had adaptors to fit Thule ski racks to roof racks? They seemed unable to answer and they turned to the two others who had walked towards the door. I again explained to them my requirements. One of them who later identified himself as Jack the store manager said that Halfords only sell their own ski rack accessories. I know this to be untrue as they are advertised on Halfords' website. I offered to show him what I have so he can get a better idea of what I wanted. His reply was "I am busy". Considering that all four had been chatting and joking for around 10 minutes, his excuses for not wanting to help me was lame. The conversation deteriorated from then on. Halfords get a grip on your staff.
