I visited Smiths Timber Merchants having very little woodworking knowledge with the intention of buying some timber to build a backboard for my dartboard. I showed the guys a rough sketch and they were happy to help by finding me out what I needed for a reasonable cost. I love the way this project turned out and appreciate the lads here being so helpful despite my lack of knowledge. I will definitely return if I ever need any timber in the future.
Robert and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, we always go here if we need any wood. At the moment we are making raised beds for flowers a decking area and a pergola, and will not go anywhere else to buy our timber. They cut everything to size and deliver free of charge. Great customer service highly recommended
I was recommended Smiths by a neighbour and I’m extremely pleased with the four 6x6 fence panels. Excellent. I needed some hardboard cut to specific sizes for the floors of our sheds. Delivery was fast and the product is exactly what I wanted. Smiths Customer Service (especially Tom) was prompt and very helpful on Messenger. I paid for delivery as I am not local. (I had tried the big chain shops near me but found them disinterested and difficult to deal with).
