What a great find, Chris was super helpful and went above and beyond by replying to my query out of hours. Ordered on Monday and delivered on Tuesday for extremely long boards, which was great. The quality of the boards was exceptional, just what I required. Would definitely recommend and will use their services again.
I got a large piece of cedar from Sheffield timber company for making a business sign for a client. Can't fault them, they were very responsive to messages, allowed me to collect the wood promptly and the quality of the wood is beautiful, absolutely perfect for what I wanted. An absolute gem of a spot. Chris is super helpful & knowledgable of what wood to use for what project. In my case, I was making a gift for a friend to keep his coffee bits in order. He sorted me out a UK grown unassuming piece of Hornbeam - something I’d never used or heard of. But sure enough, a perfect recommendation. The marbling and grain came out wonderfully and I can’t wait to gift it! Couldn’t recommend more, will be my go to spot for any and every future project.
I wanted a live edge slab for a coffee table I'm making. I searched around and contacted a few companies. Chris at the Sheffield Timber Company got back to me very quickly and was very knowledgeable. I went down a couple of days later, the slabs we had discussed were ready to look at and he also showed me around the other stock and we had a good chat about timber, work and projects. The piece I chose needed cutting down which was done straight away and the price was very reasonable, it's spot on for what I need. I will definitely be going again.
