   I live close by and like to support local businesses but I have now stopped shopping there. Purchased a couple of things but changed my mind and wanted to exchange them. They were out of stock and do not offer money back. I kinda get this but when politely pressed for an explanation, they became brusque, offering up it's always been like this and we've lasted 63 years. Whether they'll last another 63 years is another matter. Items were also around 20% more expensive than a bricks and mortar competitor.

   Went in today to try get a new lamp holder to mend a 50 year old corroded light fitting after unsuccessfully trying several other shops. Gentleman went above and beyond to assist, taking old one apart to put new holder in, and spending a lot of time. It all works again now, and the old fitting saved, all for £3.25! Good for another 50? First class service from Williamson's of Broomhill as always.

   Poor quality glassware and metalware. Just go to Wilko instead. After some time it tends to corrode and go cloudy and easily smeared. I bought other glassware that we used for years but never had this issue.Also, poor quality (ironically) steel cutlery that tends to bend and warp.

   This is a handy shop for urgent hardware items in vicinity. Many more items you can pick. Though little bit priced compared to poundland, worth saving time . Key cutting also available.
