Wow wow wow. This place is great. I happened to stumble across this gem with a good friend of mine and what an amazing experience. The host Luis made us feel so comfortable and carefully explained the menu and wine list to us - which I was blown away by. From start to finish, the food hit the nail on the head accompanied by the fantastic wine recommendation. If you are looking for a upmarket experience locally - this is the place to be. Definitely try the oxtail ravioli if you make it there!

Wow - we had the most gorgeous evening at Dulwich Lyceum - a must try if you’re ever in South London or London for that matter!!! We went for the tasting menu and it was worth every penny. From Jersey Blue Oysters, Cod Crouettes, grilled tiger prawns, pumpkin risotto and homemade ravioli it was truly hard to pick a favourite. The service was attentive and informative, and the atmosphere was also fab. There are plenty of interesting and gorgeous wines to choose from - we went with the Nykteri, which paired beautifully with the food. A stand out evening and we will definitely be coming back x

I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed every single dish at a restaurant. My dinner at Dulwich Lyceum was fantastic. Everything was beautifully cooked. Service was great. No wonder why it is a neighbourhood favourite!

Had really hoped to get our dishes at the same time as we were sharing with 4 of us. But the delay between bringing tiny dish after tiny dish was too much. When they finally bought a big dish, it was cold. Sent it back and they bought it back 10 minutes later. Still cold. They had delivered a dish to our table wrongly and then taken it away when they realised. After leaving it in the bar for 10 minutes they came and gave it to us for free (as it would presumably have gone in the bin). When we said we weren't happy he reminded us about the free fish and said he'd take our drinks of the bill. We had bought only two lemonades! And then have is a bill with service included. Food was good but service and the attitude of the manager was a joke. Shame.

What a disappointing evening. Although the food tasted very nice. The service was awful. I expected our chosen dishes to come together as we were a table of four sharing. Each dish came on its own, after waiting an extraordinary amount of time. We even received the same dish twice, mistakenly. We ordered bread, it didn’t arrive, maybe it was being baked in the oven. The lamb arrived cold and has to be sent back to be reheated and returned warm. Our comments and dissatisfaction was not taken seriously and therefore, with regret I can not recommend this restaurant.

The food is very good here ! Mainly greek cuisine , with some fine dining touches . Seasoning is in point , portions are proper and the Ingredients stand out . Service can be slow , but the staff is friendly . The owner and chef is most of the days in the kitchen and keeps an eye on things. Very good value for money . Will definitely re visit.

Phenomenal food, what a treat! The "chicken soup" is like nothing I've ever tasted, exquisite! Their lunch deal is amazing value, 2 courses and a glass of wine for £20. A new favourite in the neighbourhood!

We were expecting great things having been to Peckham Bazaar but Dulwich Lyceum just didn’t make the mark. We enjoyed the tarama with fennel and filo crisps (although asked for more as three was totally inadequate). The babbaganoush was Smokey but the fish croquettes were very average and it seemed that the amount you got depended on your table size although the price remained the same. The turbot with risotto was nice but far from sensational although the mushroom “large”‘dish with egg was delicious but far from large. I couldn’t comment on the beef as after over 45 mins we gave up hope on that particular dish and opted for a cab home to enjoy cheese, crackers and homemade chilli jam. Our waitress was borderline surly and rarely delivered a sentence fully in person before walking away. The other waitress was fabulous and was dealt the unfair hand of giving us the bill(which was initially wrong!) Look it’s ok and probably coasts on being one of West Dulwich’s few eateries….I’d opt for the newbie taking on from cafe rouge or even better jump in a cab to East Dulwich or better still, Peckham. ~~~ Before booking, I’d suggest you read the owner’s response….beyond extraordinary and really doesn’t show him in a good light. Take constructive criticism and use it to improve rather than attacking your customers…..also a final piece of advice - an apology goes a long way…..
