My granddaughters love this place they think Nita who runs it is amazing, free art sessions for 8yrs and above but there is a waiting list

The Edge is an old industrial unit on the border of Digbeth and Highgate in central Birmingham. There's space to use as a small community venue, up to 100 comfortably, which is what Friction Arts does, when it's not doing stuff elsewhere. Friction Arts focuses on working with local communities, and generally connecting with, and giving voice to local people on issues of local and international concern. It's a dynamic collective of people delivering work relevant to people in Birmingham, responding to the rich cultures that exist here. Sandra and Lee have been running Friction for some 20 years now. They're great folk - well worth a visit.
