I really enjoyed our stay here in Birmingham at Malacuna!! For what we payed we were very happy with our room, everything was very clean. The staff was super friendly and helped us with our requests. Had a good time and would recommend this stay for sure!!
I really enjoyed this hostel. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, the kitchen area was clean and came with a full bar of food, drinks and snacks. The rooms were very clean and had springy, comfy beds. Excellent place for crashing in Brum.
Came for a salsa night and regularly stay here in JQ. Booked the mixed but since it was all men, I asked to move and they were happy to accommodate me. All female dorm peaceful and beds very comfy with charging point and lights in every space. Thank you!
I accidentally booked a 10 room mixed bed instead of a female dorm. Hali at reception tried her absolute best to switch me to a female dorm but unfortunately there were none available. I ended up not staying the night but I want to thank Hali for being so kind and understanding! I will definitely come again.
Very good hostel and well situated very close to the centre of Birmingham and only one hundred metres from Snow Hill train station. Nice safe locale and quiet at night. The rooms are decent sized and showers very good. Beds are comfortable and you have electric sockets and a nightlight plus small secure cupboards right next to the bed. Nice little cafe in the reception area.
Great and unique place to stay. Dog friendly being a massive bonus. Our suite had its own kitchen and lounge area which was convenient for us as we had friends staying at the hotel too. 5 mins drive from the centre and cheap in an uber.
Fantastic service from Magda on reception, and the tattooed barman. Couldnt have been friendlier and more helpful. Made an average day great. Rooms are smart. Recommend the yoga on Mondays. Just bring earplugs for the train noise opposite.
Very nice, clean hotel. The atmosphere is slightly different here than usual hotels, more social in the evenings so you can sit and have a beer with other guests. The room was lovely, the bathrooms are a bit out dated but guessing by the rest of the hotel they are just awaiting a bit of a refresh. Very lovely staff on the reception, I found them friendly and helpful ☺️
This is a really good hostel. Nice rooms and lovely staff. Love that it's in what appears to be an old industrial warehouse, gives it some incredible character even if the inside has been renovated. Bed was comfy, could store my stuff securely and in general felt safe. About a ten minute walk from the city centre. Couldn't ask for much more really.
Lovely experience. Me and my sister stayed here last weekend for a concert. The staff were amazing. Really made it what it was. So polite and friendly. The room was standard, a bit cold but the bed was comfy. We were welcomed with an amazing free cocktail and stayed for a few more because they were made so well. Huge shout out to Matt the bar man (hope that’s your name). Breakfast was delightful too! Thank you Selina staff for a great stay.
