   I asked for the bill and noticed there was a £5 service charge. I simply mentioned it — no argument, no attitude. Instead of explaining, the waitress brought another receipt and said, “This is your original bill, I gave you a discount, I’ve been nice to you,” and added that she was “not in the mood to explain.” She then became rude and defensive for no reason. What made it worse was when she said she gave the discount because “your friends are Turkish.” I told her they are not Turkish or Arab — and even if they were, that is not something you say. We are customers. Discounts should not be based on nationality or ethnicity. If this is how the restaurant operates, then they should clearly post that discounts are only for Turkish people. Otherwise, this is extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. Bad service, bad attitude, and completely inappropriate behavior.

The presentation alone was enough to impress—beautiful trays filled with vibrant colours, fresh ingredients, and a generous variety that made the whole spread feel both hearty and elegant. The meal featured perfectly cooked sunny-side-up eggs with just the right touch of seasoning, alongside a rich and flavourful menemen that was warm, comforting, and incredibly satisfying. The array of cheeses, fresh tomatoes, and crisp cucumbers balanced the richness with refreshing, clean flavours. The selection of breads and pastries—especially the sesame-coated simit and the crispy, golden filo rolls—added the perfect texture. The cured meats, grilled sausage, and halloumi brought a delicious savoury edge, while the olives and little jars of jam gave that classic Turkish breakfast touch. Even the small details stood out: quality honey and spreads, a beautifully brewed glass of Turkish tea, and a layout that made every bite feel thoughtful and intentional. Overall, this breakfast was an experience—generous, authentic, and cooked with real care. Highly recommended for anyone who loves a slow, delicious, flavour-packed start to their day.

   From a subjective standpoint, I have discerning tastes when it comes to food, however, this establishment has significantly impressed me with the exceptional taste and freshness of its offerings. The staff members are exceedingly courteous and provide excellent service. Although my original intent did not involve dining here, I was in the vicinity picking up parts from Mazda and Dealer. I happened upon this invitingly named restaurant across the street, prompting me to seize the opportunity to sample their cuisine. The experience was truly remarkable.

   I had dinner there with my sister. We decided to share soup and grilled lamb. The girl was very attentive and friendly, she brought us soup already divided into two plates. Lamb were very delicious! We eat it before I make any pictures! Generally very happy! I will definitely be back!

   Our first time here, found it while out for a walk up Heath Road, and so pleased we did. Nice welcome from the man behind the counter, very good coffee, reasonable price, and he politely held the door open for us on our departure. A lovely calm experience. Will definitely return.

   Four stars because the service is warm and friendly and the Shakshuka was excellent. The Dara Breakfast Platter was a disappointment, once swapping for a veggie sausage it was a lot of stodgy carb and not enough eggs and veg. It would be preferable to serve Turkish bread for all dishes rather than white bread.
