“We recently hosted our little one’s first birthday party at Cheeky Chops and had the best time. Mike was so lovely and accommodating, he even flexed the fixed timings he offers for parties for us, which was a wildly different experience I was having when speaking to other potential venues across London. You can provide your own decorations, food & drink and birthday cake which makes it so much easier to cater for any specific needs of your guests. Mike offers fabulous coffee that is super reasonably priced and the venue even has an alcohol license (so a few of the Dad’s even enjoyed a beer together - a real treat for the adult guests). The space is clean, the perfect size for kiddos to burn off some steam and offers fun for a wide variety of ages, all in a completely safe and stress free environment as there are plenty of places for parents to sit and still see/supervise their kids. All of our guests were really complimentary of the venue because the kids had a great time which of course makes life loads easier for us adults. We must also give a huge shoutout to the girls working on the day of our party, they were the nicest duo - so kind, couldn’t do enough to help us, made the best coffee, made us all feel so welcome - those sort of staff are worth their weight in gold! We honestly can’t fault a single thing about our experience - other than we’d love to have stayed longer because everyone was having such a nice time haha. We highly recommend hosting a party at Cheeky Chops or even just visiting the venue with your kids for a coffee and a play, we’ll absolutely be back again and again. Thanks Mike and team for the best time!”
“Best cafe I've been too in a long time. Highly recommended. Great food.”
“Great place, we went in here for a quick bite before the rugby and it was perfect. Quick and easy with a good selection of dishes, perfect for lunch. Quick friendly service.”
“Great cafe and honestly great workers, especially the main guy (sorry im noy sure of his name). He always makes sure to make his customers feel comfortable and satisfied with his service and the cafe is just generally really cosy and homelike-its literally like my luke's cafe to loralie (gilmore girl reference). A great person really makes a great cafe.”
“Cafe Pera was a delightful experience. Their English breakfast is top-notch, boasting a satisfying taste and quality ingredients. For those with a sweet tooth, their hot chocolate is a simply lovely indulgent treat. Staff members ensure that customers feel welcomed and attended to promptly, enhancing the overall dining experience. We felt very welcomed throughout the amiable service. Overall, Cafe Pera earns high marks for its delicious offerings, excellent service, and inviting atmosphere. It's a place worth revisiting, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others in the area.”
“From a subjective standpoint, I have discerning tastes when it comes to food, however, this establishment has significantly impressed me with the exceptional taste and freshness of its offerings. The staff members are exceedingly courteous and provide excellent service. Although my original intent did not involve dining here, I was in the vicinity picking up parts from Mazda and Dealer. I happened upon this invitingly named restaurant across the street, prompting me to seize the opportunity to sample their cuisine. The experience was truly remarkable.”
“Delicious food at a decent price and lovely service. The cafe has been beautifully redecorated too. Plus we could watch our kids in the playground whilst enjoying the fair!!”
“Excellent food and service. Already looking forward to come back and try more Vareniki and Pelmeni!!!”
“Very nice little cafe, service is unbelievably fast an yet you don’t feel rushed. The food quality and quantity was just right and for the location it was extremely well priced. Very nice inside and the decor is very traditional and inviting. I would recommend to anyone looking for some light lunch or breakfast.”
“Great old-fashioned pub. Excellent selection of beers, great service and good-quality food. Prices very reasonable for the area as well.”
“It’s my local cafe but it’s my first time here very busy - very nice and helpful staffs - highly recommended cafee in whitton”
“The Thai kitchen here is first class. The pub is also very nice for a drink or two. But the Thai food is legit, been several times and it's often full, and even more encouraging - a LOT of Thai people eat there. One of the best Thai restaurants in London at the moment.”
“We visited The Turks Head and were impressed by the warm and friendly service. The pub has a cozy atmosphere and charming character. The outdoor garden area was particularly enjoyable, providing a perfect spot to relax with a drink. The live music was an added bonus, enhancing the overall experience.”
“Visited Stella's for the first time yesterday after being recommended by a friend, I must say I wasn't disappointed! Food was lovely,i ordered the smash burger and fries, it was delicious and reasonably priced. great atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommend. Will definitely be returning.”
“Best Cafe in Twickenham in my opinion. One of the few where you can get a good 'Italian style' cappuccino in the morning!”
“Had a heavy night on the town? Here's a perfect place for a recovery breakfast. Friendly, reasonably priced and good sized meals.”
“10/10 local caff. Great breakfast, £12ish for a big full English with tea and a can. Friendly and quick service too!”
“Lovely atmosphere with friendly workers and an owner (Tony) who cares about his customers. On a first name basis with most regulars and super involved with the work. I had a very good latte made by Rowan who was friendly and chatty, with an excellent ciabatta sandwich.”
“A lovely place to grab a hot/cold drink and a good range of snacks and ices, situated right next to a large children's playground park and picnic area. Toilets are accessible too. A few minutes walk from Ham cross- river ferry boat and this café is conveniently located between historic Orleans, Marble hill and Ham houses. All of which are fantastic places to visit, if you have the chance to. Well worth a visit!”
“Served by a lovely girl with curly hair in a ponytail and hoop earrings, I assume she was new from how her coworkers were talking to her, but she was brilliant nonetheless, perfect service from her. Especially in comparison when we first came to the bar and none of the servers came to us for at least 3 minutes”
“I came here for England New Zealand first rugby match full stop the atmosphere was electric I'm used to Football Club's crashing but this was very different. Everybody got on it was very busy but you got served very quick at the bar”
“I’ve been here multiple times over the years and have always had first class service and quality food. The staff are always super welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere is great. An absolute go to for our group of mates who come here for our reunion lunches and catch-ups. 100% recommend, especially if heading onto a rugby game afterwards! Looking forward to our next visit!”
“Polite and welcoming staff. Very good value for money. Meals served exactly how menu displays. Food was delicious and the coffee was very good. Would definitely visit again if I'm in the area as I live 140 miles away.”
“One of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been. We had mussels for starter to share which they brought in two separate plates and made it easy. The starter was massive and absolutely enough for two people. Then we had pepperoni calzone and salmon pasta bake which were amazing. The food is absolutely fresh and flavoured here. The calzone was delicious and stuffed which made it a big portion and the salmon pasta bake was perfectly cheesy and in a great creamy white sauce. We also had Tiramisu which was perfectly creamy. The staff were nice and friendly. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for fresh and flavoured italian food served in a huge portions.”
“This is our favourite café in Twickenham, perfectly located adjacent to Orleans House Gallery and with views of the gallery's woodland garden. The café is kept very clean and has good Covid protocols and plenty of outdoor seating beneath generous umbrellas in the stables courtyard. The café also has 6 or so indoor booths, which are perfect for working or catching up with a friend. We love the selection of delicious cakes, well-prepared snacks, excellent coffee and friendly staff.”
“Visited this pub after the Womens Rugby World Cup Final and despite being understandably very busy the service and the staff were brilliant, can't fault anything about the Admiral Nelson, would deffo recommend 100% whether you're visiting Twickers or not”
“I came here while on vacation and decided to try the rotisserie chicken it was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was great and the service made the experience even better. A special shout-out to Talia, who was the most lovely and helpful person. She took such good care of us and made us feel really welcome.”
“I’m giving this place 5* as I believe the court cafe should be kept open. Many courts no longer have cafes and I think it’s a useful thing to have in a court. However don’t expect very good food! It’s very school dinner canteen. They will do hot drinks though and snacks, cold drinks. The staff are nice enough and there’s places to sit. Probably a lifeline for many people have a hard day in court.”
“This is such a lovely cafe inside the swimming baths. You can grab a drink from an outside area where you just ring a bell and someone very friendly will come and serve you or if you enter the leisure centre you can go inside the cafe... this also has a nice green outdoor area with family benches if you would like to enjoy some nice weather in summer. The food is really nice! They have loads of variety of food and drink. Very suitable for children, with a children menu to. There is some tv screens that usually has something playing if there is an event e.g Wimbledon. They are really nice and will put on a childs programme if you come in with young children. They have a book table with a variety of books for adults and children to read.”
