A little gem. I spent a week in London and ended up coming back every single day. The food is excellent (try the Mediterranean breakfast), and all of it is home-made. The set up is intimate, cozy and warm, not the least thanks to the delightful owners who manage both room and kitchen service. Will definitely be back on my next trip to London.
Stopped by BITE for breakfast and, shockingly, wasn’t disappointed — which already puts it ahead of most London brunch spots. I ordered the Royal Benedict and an Americano, and at about £18 total, it almost felt like I’d gotten away with something. In this city, that’s basically free. The Benedict arrived looking like it had actually been prepared by someone who likes food — perfectly poached eggs, hollandaise that didn’t resemble lemon-tinted wallpaper paste, and toast that hadn’t been cremated. The Americano was strong enough to remind me I’m alive, so full marks there. The owners — a husband-and-wife team who’ve travelled from Istanbul to Dubai before bravely settling in London — are genuinely lovely, which is frankly confusing because I’m accustomed to being ignored until I wave frantically at a server. Not the case here. Here, people smile. On purpose. The café is cosy, charming, and dangerously close to being the kind of place where people pretend to work on laptops while actually eavesdropping on conversations. A firm four stars — not five, obviously, because then they’d have nothing left to strive for, and I wouldn’t want to deprive them of character-building opportunity. Would happily return for another bout of unexpectedly good eggs.
We ordered a few different things and it was just delicious and freshly made. Staff was great and friendly, even offered to charge our phones there. Loved the music and vibes, would come back!
Best place to grab a bite in the entirety of the area, amazing place to also work remote if you are looking for a well-serviced quality food and coffee. They also have a build-your-own sandwiches, I had the focaccia, hot honey, tomato, cucumber, halloumi, spinach with avocado and I must say, best sandwich I had in London. I will try to come again just for the food and the staff. 10/10 experience. Worth the commute even if you live far.
Family ran little cafe. Just steps away from Olympia. We were lucky enough to get a table outside on a Sunday morning and enjoy the lovely weather. The food is mainly Mediterranean and Turkish with some classics. Everything was cooked on the spot and you could tell how much attention they put to give you a pleasant experience. The butter is made locally, as well as the jam. The eggs were perfectly cooked. We got an omelette, the Mediterranean and the scramble eggs. All delicious. Portions are perfect. And the coffee was also really good. The staff and owners were lovely. Gigli recommended if you’re in the area and are craving some simple and traditional food.
Proper morning food from a top lad. It's in a quiet part of the Kensington borough of west London. We were greeted by a man with cheerful personality but not over the top. Just perfect for morning cheerfulness. He turned on the background jazz music and got out orders. We tried the poached egg on sourdough and the cumberland English brekky. Everything else was perfect.
Definitely recommend this place for a good breakfast. Customer service was a 10/10, the man who takes your orders is so lovely! Pricing for the food was good and affordable. Food was delicious. Overall the customer service made breakfast enjoyable.
Cosy cafe with some great menu items. Perfect for breakfast, lunch or brunch. The owners are very friendly and make sure you get what you need at all times. As soon as you walk into the café you are greeted by a warm smile. The food was delicious and was served relatively fast considering the size of the café. The coffee is great too and the smoothies are to die for. There's a small toilet downstairs if needed and newspapers are provided on the tables. There's a nice soft ambient music playing in the background. Five stars.
Loved this homey cosy cafe. Had some lunch and the coffee was of really good quality. Loved the gentle jazz playing in the background. The owner was really nice and always with a smile. Felt like you were at a familiar uncle’s cafe. Highly recommend
