I’ve been exploring this side of London a bit more lately and have noticed that there are more local neighbourhood cafes here compared to central or east, though not as many true specialty coffee spots. The Post Room definitely feels like a cozy local gem. It’s a very quiet cafe in a nice area. I was here on a Thursday afternoon and the place stayed calm the whole time. There are around 15 tables inside and outside, and only a few were occupied throughout my few hours there. It’s got a relaxed, peaceful vibe which makes it great for working or just zoning out for a bit. I started with an Iced Black in my own reusable cup for £4. That’s about standard London pricing. The coffee was well balanced, not particularly aromatic or complex, but decently extracted and pleasant to drink. The space is very laptop friendly with visible sockets, good wifi, and a clean toilet at the back. The area also feels safe enough that you could probably step away from your table for a minute, though I wouldn’t recommend leaving your stuff unattended for long. Later in the afternoon, I got a Long Black and a slice of Pistachio and Almond Cake (gluten-free) for £8.60. The cake was a really nice surprise. The texture was slightly crumbly, as you’d expect from something gluten-free, with a touch of greasiness, but the flavour was lovely. You get distinct pistachio and almond notes, and it wasn’t too sweet. The icing and toppings were just right. Overall, a calm little spot to unwind, get some work done, and have a good slice of cake.

Great cozy cafe. The staff and owner are so friendly. Had the best Turkish eggs I’ve tried in London and the lemon olive oil cake was moist and light.

Really nice specialty coffee, a local gem in Chiswick. Had an oat flat white, excellent. Was quite and calm on a weekday, very pleased.

Charming little spot with tasty food and strong cocktails. Super-friendly staff as well. A quiet oasis away from thr hustle and bustle of Chiswick.

While food and coffee quality is crtical for a café, it's also the service of smiling helpful staff that makes all the difference between a great or mediocre visit. The Post Room was a great experience for me, at the end of a long journey and early start to the day.

Wow. Wow. Wow. I happened upon this lovely cafe on a walk around Chiswick. I’m not one to leave reviews (in fact you’ll find this is the first I’ve written). Firstly, I found the coffee to be exceptional, extracted to perfection. Secondly, the tuna sandwich was divine, credit to the chef. Thirdly, and in my opinion the most important of all factors, the lovely little owner was amazing, I think his name was Burton. He made me feel very welcome and had a lovely conversation with me. 10/10 would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

What a cute café on South Parade. I had peppermint tea (£2.60) and sat for almost 2 hours and didn’t feel rushed at all. The staffs were friendly. In addition to the normal selection of hot drinks, the menu is extensive enough plus there are a good selection of baked goods and sauces to buy. I would recommend this place to Boulangerie Jade on the same road.
