had a super fun time playing the Dark Arts room with my partner for our anniversary!! the set design, theme, and puzzles were all so creative and engaging - would definitely recommend, especially to people who love fantasy! our games master, Jess, was so lovely and friendly, they really made the experience all the more fun! :)

Had great fun playing Cluedo at the escape rooms on Saturday! We arrived 15 minutes late due to traffic holding our park and ride up but they were great with us and got us going straight away. Think it was Tasha? who looked after us, she was very knowledgeable about what we were doing and certainly very enthusiastic. I had no idea what to expect but we soon got into the swing of things! Took no photos of the escape room as requested as it would spoil the fun for future guests but took a photo outside. We’d like to come back and do another! Thanks guys!
Absolutely brilliant escape room! We did the V90, and the challenge was the perfect level of engagement for us. The staff were brilliant and extremely friendly/helpful, too. Highly recommend, I’ve done other rooms in York and these guys are definitely the best for any level!
Easily one of the best escape rooms I've ever done! Even though we got caught in traffic getting there the staff were very lovely and waited for us an extra few minutes, the setup was clear and understandable, Amelia, our game master was very kind and cheerful. The game itself (Viking Valhalla) was immaculate, perfectly organised and very engaging. Though it's their highest difficulty level room it was very forgiving and we still managed to get out in time. Overall great fun, very reasonable price and I can't recommend it enough!
Fun escape rooms each with different themes. We did the Viking one which was a good challenge and well organised. The people there were really friendly and attentive!
Enjoyed a brilliant time. Was challenged by family to take part on a weekend away. Really pleased we did. Good mix of puzzles and challenges to give everyone a chance of taking part. Managed to complete with seconds to go, surprised at how competitive we got...
My partner and I had loads of fun doing the Cluedo room. It was his first time doing an escape room and I thought it was really well paced for beginners - challenging but still doable within the time. Shout out to the member of staff Francis who was super friendly and lovely!
Great venue. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This was my first escape room experience but the room itself was well built and very surprising along the way! Will definitely be returning here.
Another fantastic hour at Mindlock, this time with my nieces at Dark Arts! A frantic fun filled wild time and we escaped! A great gift for anyone. Loved it, thank you to superb staff for making it special for my nieces 40th.
