i ate at the restaurant area; where i paid £45 for a dome and it was worse than in the insde of the restaurant; it was muddy, half of the lights didnt work and there were cobwebs and a spider nearly went in my food! not at all as advertised! dont even get me started on the food, the starter was the only good food item and it looked frozen. they dont have a drinks menu and when asked what drink they have they said "well what do you want?" instead of telling me the drinks, which isnt as bad as how the food was. i ate with my family and the only good thing was the smoked salmon; only because of the sauce. the traditional roast i got; yorkshire pudding was bunt, turkey was bland and tasted reheated, potatoes were burnt too. my desert was the right size for a mouse to eat and it tasted horribly dissapointing; all i got as a garnish was half a strawberry. at the end, our waitress didnt even ask if we wanted change and there was a 10% service fee we weren't informed about! i had to ask to have my change given to me. overall 0 star experience, especially since we paid £200 pounds, but i cant give a 0 so ill give it a ONE!

The Watersedge was a great setting for a family lunch for 5. They had the Christmas menu which had a surprisingly good selection. We all had something different and everyone really enjoyed the food. It was well prepared, very tasty, good portion size and was served in good time. The price was also quite reasonable and the staff were polite and helpful. We would all definitely be happy to go back.

We had a leaving party at the Watersedge and overall it was a great evening. The party was large, but all the food was served hot and tasty, and the service was generally good. However, we had chosen a set menu and were unexpectedly charged an extra £850. We showed the staff our list of attendees and asked them to count the chair settings to confirm everything before any furniture was removed. After questioning this with the staff and manager, they eventually agreed it was an error - however this did take over 45mins to resolve. It took three receipts before everything was finally corrected, which did put a bit of a downer on the evening as an hour was wasted just on this alone. Despite this, we still enjoyed the night overall. There was 2 events on the night we attended therefore not enough parking for everyone but nothing can be extended. A nice touch to the evening was a QR photo booth area in order for people to capture the moment. However as its hidden it's only on the way out that you can see it. Needs to be advertised more

There was a live artist performing and we had a meal and music deal. The meal was precooked from the varied menu which aided greatly the speed of service. But there was signs of the food having sat about, it was all freshly cooked and tasty. It was a very good evening with friendly people around to chat to and a Happy atmosphere. The singer was very good too. And all at a remarkable price and value for money.

Nice little cottages, great for family events and get-aways. Location is great for close-knit activities. Dinner is good as well. Cooked breakfast was however not served while there and the standard room is in need of some good renovation, but the room heating was spot on!

Had an amazing evening celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary. Christine the manager went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Amazing food and location. Staff are very friendly and couldn't do enough. Highly recommend for a special celebration or for just enjoying a quiet meal/drink. Great place to visit all year round

My husband and his friends booked a dinner reservation. Everything started off really well, until it was time to serve their mains. My husband and 1 of his friends were having Salmon and the rest were having steaks and 1 vegetarian dish. The beef came out first, then low and behold the salmon never arrived!!! It might have made a difference if the Manager or Supervisor or someone could have gone over and gave a credible explanation as to why the salmon was not served, with a suggestion or recommendation of a replacement dish. But of course, none of that happened!!! Deserts where then served (my husband and his friend still waiting on his mains), with extras placed on the table. Don't know if it was a feeble attempt to not get a bad review. Overall, for an establishment to be in this business for this long, my husband and his friends deserved at least good service and their dinner, as this dinner was booked way in advance. This was a complete waste of his time, his friends time and it completely ruined his evening. My advice: I would not recommend this place to any of my family, friends or my worst enemy and you shouldn't either.

Came here for a dinner and the food was really really nice. The sizzling hot plates are very tasty, I got the grilled salmon one. The chicken tikka one also was a really big portion. Starters are also really nice. A bit pricey however I feel the price is worth it, good portion size also. I would come back to try their Sunday menu. Overall a really nice meal

We booked this place for a birthday party. The venue location was nice, with good decor outside giving the pub a quaint characteristic feel. Though we didn't use it, the outside amenities were ample, with sheltered and heated tables available. We booked the downstairs room which was well turned out, great space for a dance floor and space to put the buffet and seating for about 60-70 people. Also, I have to say, the staff were great. They were very friendly and accommodating and helped with any small needs on the night. The drink was well priced and the food was to a very high standard, there was no buffet food left at the end of the night which is always great to see! There is very limited parking considering the capacity which caused some confusion among guests. However, there is lots of disabled space available. All in all it was a great experience. This is a place I highly recommend for medium/large bookings
