The Prince George in Watford is a charming old pub with a warm, friendly atmosphere. Great selection of ales and consistently tasty pub food. We’ve visited several times and always enjoyed our meals. They used to make a delicious vegetarian pizza. This time we a hearty burger on our latest visit. The cozy interior makes it a lovely spot year-round, and the pleasant outdoor area is perfect for summer.

We sat in the backroom where the atmosphere was a bit sterile. It must have been renovated fairly recently as it lacked the charm and cosiness of a nice old pub, the pervasive smell of cleaning products didn't help. The food was uninspired, a lot of frozen fare. But still at London prices. The service was friendly and they do have a back patio which may be lovely to enjoy in warmer weather.

Surprisingly quiet on a Saturday night but great for us as we wanted a meal and the PG had been recommended. Good choice of beers etc. Menu has a South African accent but a really good choice throughout. The beef and stout stew was really good and a good choice for a chilly and damp night. Staff were very pleasant and keen to help. The furniture is a mix of tables and easy chairs. Music is played at a level which permits conversation. Worth a visit.

Dropped by on a Friday evening and enjoyed an excellent meal, served promptly by friendly staff. Our dog was welcomed, toilet facilities were clean and well maintained and there was plenty of space to find a quiet corner. Only drawback is the limited parking locally.

Went for a Sunday Roast and was pleasantly surprised. Portion sizes were very good and food tasted fresh. Pints come to about Β£5 each, which is very reasonable. You’re looking to spend about Β£30 per head with lunch and a couple of pints.

Excellent food.. loved the South African theme running through the choices. The pub had a relaxed and cordial atmosphere . Set us up for the fantastic family party at the pub later. Many thanks to all the staff!

Really amazing place all round!! Lovely pub with a nice relaxed, slightly quirky and welcoming vibe! Staff are absolutely great, so attentive, friendly and absolute pleasure to deal with. The food is really top notch, I had the South African burger. It was delicious, cooked to perfection and served with fabulous chips too! It's really reasonably priced and they also have a great wine list, again this is really reasonably priced for really good quality wine! Lots of my friends have visited to and recommended the place. Everyone has only positive things to say! We love this place, check it out cannot recommend highly enough!

Arrived just after they opened on a Saturday. If this was an east end pub it’d be packed because it’s REALLY nice, I don’t know the location well but it seems off the beaten track. Very quiet from 12ish and starting getting busier at 3pm. Music playing was classic rock and some 80s pop. Currently table service. Ordered the halloumi fries (delicious! With minty yoghurt and pomegranate seeds) and then the mac and cheese - one with bacon and one without - and they were hot, tasty, but not too heavy. Ordered a bottle of Prosecco and got given raspberries and sparkling glasses. Attentive service and would definitely return.
