We booked their function room for my 40th birthday. We had a great night. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Manager communicated regularly and very helpful with suggesting food and drinks. All my guests loved the food. Room is a great size. Will def recommend for anyone I know looking to host a party.
We had our choir Christmas dinner (about 60 people) in the function room this week and are planning to book again for next year already! The room looked lovely and very festive on arrival and the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Although the main courses did not all arrive at the same time it did not really matter as our food was beautifully presented and piping hot - not to mention extremely tasty! This was by far the best Christmas party we have had in recent years and we thank all the Red Lion staff for their hard work and wish them a very Happy Christmas and New Year.
We had our society Christmas dinner here last week and it was really good! The service was phenomenal and the food was lovely too. They were able to accommodate for food allergies and dietary requirements. Overall, everyone had a lovely evening!
Held a private function and hired out the hall out the back. Connor was very attentive and helpful in both helping organise and set up. On the day the staff went above and beyond in service throughout the day serving drinks and delicious food (especially the pizzas!). A truly unforgettable day and an amazing time, worth every penny! Thank you to all the staff.
The team and the venue is exceptional. We used the Red Lion’s function room for my mother in laws 60th birthday party earlier this month and we couldn’t fault a thing! It was perfect. Krzysztof & his team were fantastic at answering my many questions in the run up to the event, and nothing was too much hassle! Everyone commented on how tasty the food was & how much of it there was.. It was fresh & plentiful all night long (we even got to enjoy leftovers the next day!). The atmosphere was fantastic- the disco lights, speakers & private bar made it all the more special. As an event organiser myself, I will definitely be recommending the venue to clients & will be using the venue myself again! Thank you all for making the night so special. Abi & Louis
What makes a bar great is the service they provide! The bartenders and staff are very friendly and accommodating. I always feel welcomed when I pop in for a drink. Would definitely recommend going to this bar for a great time!
Excellent food and top notch service from a fantastic team. The place has a really lovely vibe. Was made to feel very welcome by the staff and they couldn't do enough to help us out. We can't wait to go back.

Just had a lovely meal here with my wife....very warm welcome, super tasty freshly cooked food (i had the crispy chicken, bacon & cheese Ciabatta) & a great pint! We will be back very soon! Full marks to the Red Lion!
