(Reviews based on past summer) Feels like it's full of rogue trader types on a Friday afternoon, has no ale on tap, BBQ set up that looked far from compliant with basic food safety. Great for young crowds in the summer that want to drink all day and stand outside late at night shouting at each other. Seems the new management are addressing these issues, hopefully it will improve and be more welcoming going forward.

I wouldn’t even give my experience a 1 star for this previous weekend. What on earth has happened to the place? Not one decent staff member, no one knew what they was doing? Where’s everyone gone? £10 entry on the door? Since when? I came in here for a Woking hospice charity event with my family and husband a few months ago and had the most amazing day! The staff was brilliant, couldn’t do more for you, happy, approachable. This past weekend not one person seemed to know what they were doing, very arrogant and rude. Don’t think we will be rushing to come back. Shame, never experienced anything like it. Only spent hour in there and that was enough, Waste of door money.

The overwhelming odour of bleach when entering this pub was a red flag. Blaring audio from tv. During the match ok..but during the post match ads, No! We drank our drinks, I won the one pool game and we booked an uber to get us out of there ASAP. Won't be goin back.

Been there at a Friday evening and it was great! Callum was working behind the counter and he was very polite and friendly, great guy! A band set up inside the pub and played some good quality music, nothing too loud and definitely elevating the whole atmosphere. Bonus points for the delicious Brazilian bbq that is being served there during the weekends, at the rear garden. Bottom line, great pub!

Booked a table for my Sisters pre hen party weekend. On arrival our table was decorated and we were provided with some very special touches and Wendy and other staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely evening! Great food, excellent value & brilliant selection of drinks.... especially the cocktails which were excellent value for money. My Mum and cousin stayed in the guest rooms, very clean & comfortable. Overall such a great experience and we were so well looked after! Thank you!!

An excellent pub with rooms. Just had the one night but I will be back. Friendly welcome from Wendy and a very comfortable room. A good choice on the menu for the evening and an equally good breakfast. The rooms are not above the bar so no noise later on although the bar was quite quiet on my night. Wendy and the team work hard and it shows

My wife and I have visited the Crown and Anchor on a few occasions since the new owners have taken over and always had a lovely time but have never sampled the food. On Saturday 1st October we booked lunch with 9 family members to get together for my dads birthday who we sadly lost 13 years ago. The food was out of this world, all home cooked. I had the cheese burger which I have to say was up there with the best I have ever had. Lasagna, pizzas, Halloumi burger and the liver and bacon were ordered (dads favourite, which my mum had and said was incredible, her words). Everyone said how amazing their food was. (Kids food was great too). The beers we ordered were perfect, these guys really do know what they are doing.m when it comes to pouring the perfect pint. Can’t rate and thank Wendy and her team highly enough. Nothing was too much, we really did feel like royalty. The tribute to dad was incredible. It was the perfect place to go with Wendy and her Husband Marco being Crystal Palace fans as so are we as a family. Wendy put a palace scarf on the table and put a pint there for dad. It’s these sort of touches that mean so much. We told them we would be bringing our German Shepherd with us and we couldn’t believe what they did, a lovely bed at the end of the table for him to chill in. We also ordered a lovely dinner for him which he really enjoyed. Such a lovely dog friendly pub. The play kids area is amazing, kept the little ones entertained for ages. Wendy even set up an art and craft table for the two little ones while we had our lunch as they had theirs first, again kept them entertained. She ended up being like the pied piper with all the kids in the pub following her around. She took them down to the river that runs along the back of the amazing garden to feed the ducks and swans. So way and above. Again, thank you so much guys for the most amazing afternoon, we really can’t thank you enough. I urge everyone to try this pub, you will not be disappointed. And lastly let’s not forget the barman (sorry, didn’t catch your name), amazing service, always remembered each round and couldn’t do enough for us. One last thing, The Crown and Anchor take food allergies really seriously, there are no nuts on the premises, so if any of you have an allergy, another reason to try this wonderful pub. Thanks again and we are really looking forward to seeing you soon.

We came here today for a special occasion and we cannot fault our experience.. the food was delicious and such good value. The customer service was exceptional, they got all craft bits for our children which entertained them whilst we enjoyed our food and the owner was so sweet with them! Even the dog was well looked after with a bed and food! Thank you for making a special day such a wonderful experience. If you have a family this is THE PUB!

Our second visit but just myself and husband oh and the dog. A lovely warm greeting when walked up to the bar. Enquired about food and was told a new chef and new menu. I had hand battered fish with chips. Cooked lovely and fresh. Even had a pudding. I really enjoyed the evening and will definitely visit soon.
