As someone who is a local, I’ve always wanted to visit The Spring Grove, and I was really looking forward to it. The atmosphere is lovely, very cosy, and the staff were genuinely amazing, friendly and welcoming. That part of the experience was spot on. Unfortunately, the food really let it down. We ordered the Harissa Chilli & Garlic marinated King Prawns and the rump steak with rosemary salt and beef tomato, and neither dish impressed. The prawns were bland, lacked flavour and overcooked. I absolutely love artichoke. to me it’s one of the best vegetables out there, its one of gods gift to human and I’m also a big fan of samphire, but sadly both felt wasted in this dish. The steak was also disappointing: chewy, poorly cooked, and not worth the £28 price tag, especially when it’s almost double the cost of a flat iron steak. I’d happily return because the atmosphere and staff are great, but next time it would just be for a good beer rather than the food.

My wife and I visited here on Dec 21st for a Sunday Dinner - the staff were friendly, sat us quickly and were fast to take food and drinks orders. We waited a while for our drinks and had to ask for new water glasses as the ones we were provided with had lipstick marks on. When the food arrived (turkey dinner, beef dinner, cauliflower cheese, pig in a duvet) we found it largely disappointing - it wasn’t hot and not very tasty. It was fine, but for the price of the food here I’d have expected more. We ordered a dessert after our meal, which we waited 40 minutes for before cancelling the order and paid our bill. Overall, despite the friendly staff and bubbly atmosphere, we left quite disappointed - and in conjunction with our other experiences we’ve had here, I don’t think we’ll be back for food. Very cosy pub for a drink, but the food just isn’t worth it.

The atmosphere and decor in the pub was also very nice. The food was a big let down though. Prices were very steep for such small portions, especially the Brixton cod! We also had to send back one dish- the gammon which was very over cooked to the point it was dry and hard, which was a shame. The servers were very understanding and they did sort a replacement. Over all, the service was nice, drinks were good but wouldn’t return for a meal.

Fantastic Sunday roast, always our 1st choice of pub in Kingston when heading out as a family. Staff are really friendly and it has been beautifully decorated for Christmas. The Spring Grove has never disappointed us, top pub!

Great pub, really enjoyed the burger. Good Guinness. Football was on, but civilized vibe. Couple of people on our table had the steak, both came with the butter on top still frozen solid.

Had a fabulous evening at The Spring Grove recently. Staff were so friendly and accommodating to allergies that I have. The manager Alex was helpful with this and also recommended some tasty gins! I had the Porchetta to eat and it was delicious. I will definitely be returning in the near future. Excited to see the plans that the manager told me has for the pub!

I came here on a Sunday and ordered a roast beef, it was the best roast I think I may have ever had in a pub. The beef was seasoned and cooked perfectly, the roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside (not like the mass produced roasties you get in a lot of pubs), the veg was delicious and the Yorkshire was perfect, it was like a well cooked home roast. There’s also a great selection of beers and wine of which I sampled multiple of both. The staff are great and attentive. The pub has nice decor and atmosphere. This pub stands above all others in the area and is a must try.

What a beautiful place, l am struck by the decor and atmosphere of the building, bright, beautiful and spacious. I can't believe after all these years l haven't ever been in! My loss really, met up with my friends and enjoyed the lamb. It was nice sitting and catching up after only ever communicating via zoom. It is an experience you don't get on zoom calls. Great food, great service, fabulous place. Xx ❤️
