Was with you yesterday evening, loved the decorations but so disappointed with the food. Presentation and quality was really poor. Veal looked like something else, lacked flavour and as for the rice pudding, well this looked terrible and not a good flavour, undercooked rice. Seriously disappointed and sadly would think twice before eating there again.

Lovely atmosphere - very festively decorated and pretty pub. Very busy and not a lot of seating for the bar area, so it can get a little “cosy”! We didn’t have food. Our drinks were fine. Priced as you might expect for Kingswood, but perhaps a little expensive. Staff were happy, friendly and efficient.

Whilst the pub can be credited for its excellent Christmas decorations sadly the pub falls down on its food. We had booked a table to Sundays Santa visit. Santa himself was fabulous and wandered around the tables adding to the atmosphere. Sadly after we ordered our roast turkey the waitress returned to tell us they weren’t taking anymore turkey orders, you had to have preordered turkey. When I asked how were we to know about preordering she just shrugged her shoulders. We did check our emails and texts but there was nothing to suggest we had to preorder at all. We were one of the first tables to order so this really shouldn’t happen if you’ve preplanned for such an event! One of the dishes that my mother in law had because she couldn’t have turkey was the liver. She only found two tiny pieces of liver in the dish, it was awful. When we got the bill and I checked it, the British sparkling that I had ordered was actually given as the most expensive champagne on the menu. When I commented as to why that was , another shrug of the shoulders. Disgusting.

Love it here, great portion sizes and it's so beautifully decorated at Christmas. We had the three course Christmas menu for our work do. Perfect as always.

Nice pub. Pretty busy on a Saturday night but lots of space in the restaurant. Food very good.

Unexpectedly very nice food on a rather cold and blustery day. Cosy with very welcoming staff.

First visit to the pub, the decor was beautifully festive and the food was great. We were really let down by the service which was disappointing as we were the first table there. We had to ask where our drinks were, ask how long our food would be and wait a long time throughout. We were also told that the specials menu and the burgers were sold out but we saw several other people with these food options. As a table of 7 in a mostly empty pub I can’t understand why the service was so poor on this occasion.

The Sunday roasts were excellent. The whole roast chicken for two, with yorkshires and multiple veg was huge and tasty. Staff were friendly and accommodating. I'll definitely go back another day of the week, to try the main menu.
