Truly awful, from the fact the door was locked and you had to go "round the back" to the very poor decoration (Radiator looked as if it was in a film set from war damaged pub). I had the veggie burger option, as bad as it gets (apart from the Rocket Lettice which was fresh). Even the chips were poor. Place was also very cold. Please visit with caution, at least until they get a refurb. On the positive side, there is a good size car park

A great local pub. Having come from an area which is dominated by chain pubs to find a true friendly local was a dream. The food was lovely home made. I had the venison pie with mash and the mash was obviously made from scratch, the pie was full of tender meat. The three of us had mains and two deserts plus drinks and coffees and the total bill was only £83. If I lived near this would have my custom regularly.

This place is marvellous! This time, a treat for birthday boy, lunch was superb. The beef stroganoff and the veggie burger were lovely, but, oh boy, the Christmas Pudding cheesecake was out of this world!!

We had a lovely evening meal at the Black horse. I was extremely impressed with the pulled pork burger. Not only was it delicious but the burger was really filling! I had to share some of it with my daughter. The pub itself was lovely and the service was excellent, we felt very welcomed. Will definitely return!

A lovely family-run country pub with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The food was delicious – freshly prepared and full of flavour – and the service was excellent throughout. You can tell the team genuinely care about looking after their guests. A perfect spot for a relaxed meal or a drink with friends and family. Highly recommend the Blackhorse if you’re in the area!

Proper local family run friendly pub. We stopped off to meet family after sitting their dog and were made very welcome. Proper ales here S well as reasonable menu. We didn't eat there

The pub is a traditional local pub with rustic decor. We visited because we couldn't check into out hotel and wanted some lunch. The staff and landlady were very friendly and the food was excellent and very good value. Will definitely be visiting again.

Such a lovely friendly pub. Staff are extremely helpful and service is impeccable. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch today from a very generous menu and will return again very soon. They also have a wonderful comfortable beer garden and plenty of parking. Most definitely recommend this place!!
