Me and family members visited this pub for the first time recently and to be completely honest we are all disappointed, there were people in the gents sniffing stuff from off the wash hand basin and the toilets are in disrepair, tiles missing etc. The staff were not at all helpful and friendly and the food looked at it was a basic microwave meal.

Had a lovely lunch today. Best salad ever and huge. Reasonably priced. Staff very friendly and helpful. Sat outside as weather good and they even checked the table was even. Never has that help before so appreciated. Was quiet, but suited us as able to chat.

The young guy behind the bar is to busy and rude everything's 100 miles an hour with him even though there's less than 10 people in there. He also said the kitchens closed so my partner had salad and chips from kebab shop nextdoor but was told not to eat it in there despite there being 4 of us and spending well over 100 pound he's the reason why we won't be going back.

Entrance is via the corner door, where you sign in, either in a book on the bar, or scan the QR code that is next to it. There’s another QR code on the wall to your left. Then find a seat indoors or in the garden and there is efficient table service by the friendly staff. The seats outside include substantial, concrete framed, benches. No flimsy deckchairs here! There is a marquee if you want to get out of the sun, or to watch the TV. Being on the corner of Upper Green West and London Road, the bus-only route through Mitcham town centre, it's not a noisy place to be. Oh, and you can always take time to look at the architecture of this listed pub, built by Youngs Brewery in around 1900. Pint of Carling lager for £2.70p. Brakspear bitter also on draught at £2.90p a pint. Guinness is £4.10p a pint.
