Went with a friend who recommended this place. Such a nice pub, rock music playing, friendly atmosphere and great decor. Have not tried the food yet. Have been twice and will be coming again.

Great alternative pub , no fuss , just happy people having a great time. Closes at 2.00am.

Really lovely community vibe, lovely people and affordable - only removing one star because once a barman was a bit rude, and served my (diabetic!!) friend full sugar coke when she asked for diet - her levels spiked and we were told by a later member of staff that the diet had run out days ago.

Drinks are reasonably priced and uncrowded weekdays and roaring weekends offer two very different, but equally enjoyable experiences. It’s inclusive—family-friendly, dog-friendly, and safe. You can bring your dog, or even your kids, and still find yourself in a laid-back, iconic venue filled with familiar faces. Jackie and Mark, among others, are part of the reason many come back—always smiling, always ready to chat.

My pub of choice every time! Staff & fellow patrons are lovely. Good deals on drinks before 7pm, and with a variety of DJ’s playing on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays - perfect place for a night out (especially if you’re into alternative music) + DOG FRIENDLY!!

This is a rock pub. It's one of the best with great staff and a great selection of drinks. If you are in to rock music I'd recommend a visit.

I have been a semi-regular in The Ship for about 5 years now and every time I've been in there, I've had a great time. The managers Jackie and Mark are amazing, as are all the staff there. The music is heavy, the drinks have always been reasonably priced and the regulars are always fun to hang out with. Never a dull moment in The Ship and never had a problem there before. 10/10 venue. May it never change!

Our local pub forever until I left to live abroad 30 years ago. Back today, not just as good as ever but even better. A South London legend done proud - cheers!
