Went in last week for a few cooking utensils and ended up spending £200 on shoes lol. The partners I spoke to were very friendly and helpful. Joshua who served us on the till was delightful! Will be going back whenever I'm in the area
We received excellent customer service from Maria who works with the sage coffee machines upstairs. Our coffee machine had recently broken a few weeks ago ,after 10 years . We was struggling without our morning caffeine fix so we decided to look for a new coffee machine . We had a look in a few places, without any luck .we usually visit the Trafford centre and decided to look in the John Lewis . We was looking at all the coffee machines and was approached by Maria . We explained what we was looking for and price wise . Maria introduced us to the sage coffee barista style machines and went through each of the models , in great detail. Maria then give us a live demonstration and made us both a coffee to try and it tasted amazing . We thanked Maria for her time and dedication to explaining everything to us and went away to think about it . A week later we came back and luckily Maria was working and we decided to buy it there and then . Since we brought this coffee machine home , we have had no trouble and enjoyed practicing the latte art . This is a great coffee machine and I would personally like to thank Maria at John Lewis , for her excellent service at this store . This is one of the best customer service , that we have received in a long time in any shop. If anybody is interested in upgrading or buying a new coffee machine . Please use John Lewis , in the Trafford centre , the customer service is outstanding. I am confident in using John Lewis for all my electrical appliances and more .
Love the quality streets pic n mix. Packed a tin full of toffee pennies as a special Christmas gift for someone. Great value and love the uniqueness. The jelly cats items are also cute. Odd vibe in the store as it’s feels like it’s about to close down as big empty/bland areas. Must say the staff are very helpful and friendly. I lost a bag in store and it was ready for me at customer services, there system works! Thank you.
John Lewis at the Trafford Centre is located over both floors of the mall. While it might not be as modern as other John Lewis locations, the store is clean and reliable and has a great selection of items ranging from technology to clothing and homeware. I particularly like their Stanley merchandise, as they have a variety of the cups in different styles and colours, and their Apple selection including iPhone, MacBook and AirPods Max, as well as their Amazon and Nespresso selections. The store has a café, toilets, and the facilities are certainly good. I would like to see more staff on the shop floor to offer assistance and perhaps a mini food hall (John Lewis also own Waitrose, so it could work) to make the store better.
John Lewis continues to deliver excellent service and quality. The product range is wide, well-curated, and always feels reliable, whether it’s home, fashion, or technology. Staff are consistently polite, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful both in-store and online. Delivery is usually smooth and well-communicated, and their returns process is straightforward and stress-free.
Excellent service from Debbie today, who helped us pick our pram. She went the extra mile in explaining the prams in detail and helping us understand the different features. Couldn’t have asked for better and the pram we’ve picked will be with us next week!
This review is solely due to my experience in the dedicated footwear section next to the external doors. Went in looking for work shoes and there was only one member of staff serving customers. As you can imagine the sales are still on so it was manic. The customer service representative (older lady with blonde/grey curly hair) made me feel very uncomfortable scrutinising me whilst browsing. Anyway I was looking for something suitable for work in my specific size, but there were none left in the style I liked. Having established that and deciding she couldn’t make a sale she went from reasonably helpful (aside from the stock scanning app she had not, working at all), to dismissive and rude. Comments to note while I was trying on alternative footwear… “are you still here”. When I tried on a smaller pair in the original style I wanted and realised that they fitted, I went to approach her and another member of staff who had appeared out of the stockroom to purchase the shoes. I was subsequently ignored whilst she commented to her colleague that “I’ve gone through all of this with her already..,” referring to the shoes in my hand which she assumed didn’t fit. All in all the frosty attitude of the sales assistant was matched only by the permanently open automatic doors letting freezing air into the department store and making my shopping experience all the more memorable. The shoes were cute though and a good price in the sales, that’s the only reason it’s not a one star review.
Lots of things missing prices on both items and the shelves. Many items are out of their boxes or placed elsewhere in the store. Toilets downstairs were not nice at all. All over the store there's lots of floor tiles loose and like a see-saw when you step on them! Not sure i'll be visiting again.
I visited this store a few years ago to purchase a TV. If you want your TV or other large electrical item to be delivered, installed and set up, this is the best store as the service is very reliable. All Tvs (and I think maybe other large electrical items) come with warranty for 5 years, which is much higher than other stores. So always keep your receipt in a safe place just in case.
