1. SIMON SAYS THE TRUTH ★☆☆☆☆

   DJed For them 31.10.25 for halloween. Had 5 other dates confirmed. No free drinks. Now dont want me back due to finances yet offered to buy my speaker system off me rather than paying me my cancellation fee. IF YOUR A DJ OR BAND. STAY AWAY. SCAMMERS. Told me its their pub and want to get away from having bands at the venue as they want to aim for a younger crowd. Yet they tried to get me to sign up to an agency. There was no security staff which is against licence laws. I had to kindly ask a customer to stop leaning over my equipment with drinks. VERY CLICKY PUB, Drugs were offered to me at the premises.

   Had received a parking fine at the pub, which we had appealed with the manager about and they said they would void it for us. However, after the manager kept post-poning this and constantly saying they would sort it, it has resulted in us receiving an extended penalty and now we have had to pay more than double the initial fine. They cannot be trusted to help.

   This pub is great. They have new owners and have really turned it around. They have recently started Sunday roasts and they are amazing value and definitely worth the money. The staff are really friendly and have catered for a last minute family get together for over 25 people.

   Lovely place. Came here for a late lunch after hiking in Epping Forrest. Good amount of parking at back, really good food & a lovely friendly waitress who served with a smile. I would defo come back here if visiting Epping Forest.

   Highly recommend this great venue Staff are super-friendly and efficient. Food and drink excellent value for money. Can't wait to visit again. Had a family gathering in the function room. Was fantastic. Staff were so friendly and accomodating. Would highly recommend for events and functions.

   Lovely traditional pub offering a wide variety of main meals and quick bite snacks. Friendly experienced landlord and staff. Used by the locals. Had a lovely steak sandwich with melted cheese and a couple of pints of Guinness. Good selection of beers, spirits and soft drinks. Plenty of parking front and rear. Function room for hire.
