The lady at the bar was absolutely awful. My friend was an adult, just looked young, and didn't have any physical ID, but she told him to leave immediately. My god, I'm so curious how they got a 5-star rating. She was incredibly rude and impolite. The most unbelievable thing was that two gingerbears cost Β£17?! Do you have some kind of unique gingerbear or something? Or are you just taking advantage of people and doubling the price? I advise everyone not to go to this kind of pub for the first time. I suggest going to another one on the same street or somewhere else! The service and prices are definitely better than this one!

Drifted into this pub in passing for a quick drink. We had good service, decent cask ale and a rather nice mulled wine. A small place with a few small snug seating areas and an intimate atmosphere. Decor so old that I'm sure it has been in and out of fashion a few times. The kind of quaint place that people will try to match - but can't, because this is the real deal. Well worth a visit.

Cozy little pub tucked away in a narrow alley, which gives it a lot of character. Depending on the time of day, getting a seat can be difficult, but there are plenty of spots to stand outside, which works well when the weather is decent. A nice place to stop in if you want something relaxed and a bit hidden from the main streets.

Stumbled across the Nell Gwynne Tavern by chance and so glad I didβ¦ what a hidden gem! Tucked away just off the Strand, this place has a really unique charm that makes you feel like youβve stepped back in time (in the best way). Theyβve got a great selection of beers and the prices are surprisingly reasonable, especially for central London. I popped in during the afternoon and had a lovely quiet pint in a super chilled atmosphere. No crowds, no rush, just a proper, relaxed pub experience. Definitely worth a visit if youβre in the area and fancy a drink somewhere with a bit of character and calm. Will be going back for sure.

Aug 2022. It seem small house. However it is filled with good vibes and well maintained beers. There is free jukebox and soundless TV. I love beer with music. Thatβs great place for me. FYI, It is not gastro pub but traditional one.
