Great place on Tuesday . Locals play folk music and they are a dedicated bunch. Good beer too! Highly recommended to anyone who likes a traditional pub in south east London.

Lovely little place with a huge range of beers and a very laid back family oriented vibe. I'm no beer connoisseur so asked for help and was suggested a very nice low alcohol stout as I was driving - lovely!

2 friendly girls singlehandedly run the 2 bars and also the Pieminister takeaway and eat-in business but are in need of extra help. Last night the landlord was there and was openly rude to one of the girls in front of customers. He brought the girl to tears. Very uncalled for and unprofessional! One bar had been packed, 50+ customers and the other bar had 7 people and is never busy. That pie business was busy all evening and took up a lot of the girl's time but made the pub a lot of money last night. These girls are not appreciated. Please pop in and tell the girls what a good job they do and put their smiles back.

We drop into the BO at least once a week to catch up with friends or just have a quiet drink. It’s a proper local pub, good staff and well kept without being fussy. The garden out back is lovely in the warmer months and has heating for the hardy in winter. The food is limited to pies, which are tasty and good value. Wines and beers are also good value and a decent range. And they’re dog friendly, so the whole family can enjoy a visit.

A great local pub which I often pop into after work if in the office. A vast selection of beers on offer, two bar areas and a front and rear beer garden too. The staff are polite and engaging and the other locals are friendly too.

I come to this pub every week order a drink and finish off my workday before moving on to a community sport session I volunteer at. I informed the lady serving at the bar that I will order in a minute as I logged in to a meeting I was late for. A few minutes in, a rowdy man embarrassingly shouted at me in front of a room full of customers “Have you brought your own drink” pointing at my empty lunch box from earlier during the day. The barmaid, ignoring my point about ordering a drink later, takes the side of the rowdy old man, becomes antagonistic and accuses me of using their wifi. I assured her that I am not using the wifi and am tethering on my phone and that I had told her I would be ordering a drink later. I bought a drink and did not drink it in protest of the two instances of embarrassment and informed her I would reporting this to the manager. I went outside to continue my work, not taking the drink out of protest, when another member of staff interrupted me mid work and accused me of not ordering a drink. I have asked to speak to her superior as well, where she explained they would say the same. It is clear that this establishment is only welcome to clients abiding by their rules and not to anyone wanting to walk in for other purposes (even if they will be paying customers). I have left and will not be returning on my usual 4pm slot on the Tuesday. It is a real shame that the pub, when it was completely empty in the summer, was happy for me to sit and finish my workday with 1 drink. But turns around and kicks me out for doing the exact same thing because they clearly have enough customer now. Safe to say I will not be coming back. He continued to be rowdy and Had a bad experience unfortunately today,
