Live music around nine at the weekends, not too busy. The prices for the drinks were reasonable. Service was good. The pub was clean including the toilets. Roof terrace was a little disappointing, but overall a decent place with a friendly crowd.

Went to The Railway in Blackheath and the food itself was pretty good – we had burgers and the prawn & crab linguine, both of which were tasty. The garden area is lovely with lots of seating and nicely decorated, and it’s dog friendly which is always a plus. The menu has plenty of options too, and they do some decent sandwich deals at lunchtime. On the downside, the pub inside is very dark and not lit well, so it’s hard to properly see your food or even the people you’re with. I also wouldn’t recommend the charcuterie board – it only came with two types of meat, some stale bread, olives and rocket. It would’ve been much better with cheese, fruit or nuts to make it feel like a proper board. The toilets weren’t great either – a bit dirty and quite dated. Prices felt a bit high for a standard pub, and the staff came across a little rude and short at times. Overall, it’s a nice enough spot for food in the garden, but there are definitely things that could be improved.

A clean pub perfect for lunchtime. Nice and quiet allowing you to chat. Food is ordered at the bar - by very friendly staff! I ordered the steak sandwich, which was cooked to perfection! Also came with a salad and as drink!

Only popped in for a quick pint. Nice lager at average prices. Comfortable pub with a pleasant courtyard. Staff polite and friendly Now I didn't eat here but my misses who works locally ensures me the food is delicious and loves the fish & chips so I shall return for dinner soon

Had a lovely experience. Went with some friends and chatted to the barman (assume GM) extensive knowledge of drinks spoke about lots of things. As working in a pub enjoyed this interaction. Clean toilets cute little vibe

Stunning service in a welcoming atmosphere. Ray and Ash were absolutely amazing and took great care of us during our visit. If you’re looking for a great atmosphere with well priced drinks, this is the pub to visit. 5/5

Absolute gem of a pub, great atmosphere and staff are blinding! I’ve come here a few times and it’s always a good laugh, good music and staff are super friendly. I recent attended a wake here following a funeral and I cannot thank Amber and Freddie enough for their outstanding service.. they were so friendly, patient and accommodating. They let us give them a list of songs dedicated to the person we had lost and played all the songs with no complaints, and were super kind and so patient with us all. The pub is very lucky to have these two, they’re always on top form, great vibes from them both and the pub is very very lucky to have them. They always offer a super warm and bubbly service with a smile, no matter how busy it is and made our visit so pleasant! Great staff, great pub and great atmosphere.. FIVE STARS ALL ROUND!!! :)

My first time at The Railway and I was very pleased to have come. There is an extensive seating indoors bit also a very pleasant seating area at the back which is outdoors. I enjoyed their cloudy summer Ale 'Under the Sun', it was lovely with an even nicer fish and chips, good portion size, the batter was excellent and the mushy peas with a hint of mint was perfect!
