   I had a lovely meal here with some friends. Have not been for a few years but had massively improved. Despite it being a busy evening with a party, the service was impressively smooth and friendly. Our waiter, Callum, was really friendly and helpful and made our experience even better. The food was genuinely great and what you expect from a country pub. The Christmas decorations and open fires made it that much more welcoming, relaxed and cosy.

   I visited this pub and ordered the Sunday roast. It was nice, but I felt like all the meats served were kind of dry—the gravy definitely helped with that. Also, the pork crackling almost broke my teeth, so it was quite inedible. For dessert, I ordered the Eton mess, which was very average.

   A party of 11, food preordered from a wide ranging Sunday menu all at a reasonable price. Nicely situated table in window, attentive and friendly service with all food delivered together and a free bottle of bubbles as it was my birthday week. When the desserts came the kitchen had decorated my lemon tart with Happy Birthday - a nice touch. Most people enjoyed their meal and atmosphere was good.

   We visited here on a Sunday as a party of 9 for a birthday celebration but I was not impressed by the food at all. The Sunday Roast was most definitely not prepared fresh, the meat was dry, and the vegetables were so hard in some instances they couldn't be eaten. The roast potatoes were certainly out of the freezer and the stuffing was like cardboard when it finally arrived on the table. (The stuffing was originally missing off everyone’s plate and had to be requested after the mains were served.) It is a real shame because we have been to other restaurants in this chain and the food has been far better than here. I feel this restaurant is most definitely the exception for this chain but unfortunately in a negative way for food. I do however need to highlight they did follow strict allergy guidelines and ensured the food prepared for the member of our party with an allergy was prepared separately and clearly marked with a flag. The main toilets are up steep stairs but there is a disabled toilet and baby changing on the ground floor.

   What a lovely and friendly restaurant, first time here, I been with my friend, she's a regular customer and she told me that she came to this restaurant since when was a teenager and she love it like I love it too. The food was outstanding, I had a lentil lasagne, absolutely delicious, for pudding I had cheesecake. The service was outstanding, we been served by Jemma, a young and kind lady. I'm happy to return. Such a lovely time I had with my friend.

   Hands down the best Sunday roast, family/baby/children friendly pub lunch in the area! Ample parking, warm and cosy, ambience, clean and spacious washroom, friendly and helpful staff. Most importantly, well executed roast with trimmings and unlimited gravy. The choices for kids are outstanding, good quality and healthy. It’s our first visit, but you bet we will be back. Keep it up!

   Outstanding family pub! Welcome everyone and also pets! The food is always as good as the beer! And the manager - Shaun made us feel at home and made sure everything was up to he's standard! Also Emily at the bar is very polite and respect. Very quick service, even at busy times! Highly recommend!
