Had a great evening celebrating my birthday with my family. Karl the manager sorted everything for us even help my wife smuggle in some balloons and cake. Meal was delicious. We all shared a couple of the Camembert, some had burgers and curry very tasty. The staff made us feel very welcome thank you Queen Lizzie we will be back definitely a 10 put of 10 experience.

We had booked for a very special occasion at the Queen Elizabeth. There were 25 of us and all of the food came out on time; hot and very tasty. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. A fabulous day. Thank you to all especially Berti.

Amazed that I reached 80 on Saturday. Sam (duty manager) helped me plan a party here for 64 friends once I’d selected buffet menu B. Chef welcomed me too and there was even a birthday card. Everything went smoothly. The food was plentiful and tasty (why didn’t I take a photo?) self-service tea and coffee was available throughout, Prosecco or juice was served and the whole atmosphere was relaxed and happy. Thank you to the small but hard-working team.

Have been coming to this pub for nigh on 50 years and it's had its ups and downs. Have started eating here regularly and find the food excellent; service can be a little on the slow side sometimes but suspect this is due to not enough kitchen staff, so won't dock a star for that. The beer is excellently kept - I mean beer not that lager stuff - so congratulations to the cellar people. I understand that George, late of Wilson's Chippy is now here - their loss is The Lizzie's gain!

Atmosphere very good, busy and the kitchen was On form well done. Staff very welcoming. Manager worked very hard dealing with pre booked and walk ins. No one walked out and some even decided to drink until a table became available.

Not a great experience, came for a roast on a Sunday afternoon, it was pretty quiet - about 4 other tables present, the food took around 30/35 minutes to arrive, they’re was items missing such as stuffing and pigs in blanket & when we asked they said they had run out (they should of said this at time of order or atleast when they served the food) we was not provided alternatives, and they were stingy on the gravy, the food was dry and definitely not worth the 30 minute wait. Service was pretty slow for cutlery etc so would not go back.
