    The experience was brilliant. Abbs and his team took care of my car in the best possible way. I came in for a power steering pump replacement for my Mini Cooper S that had previous work done. Everyone knows that working on Minis is maybe a mechanic’s least preferred job, yet Abbs and the team worked miracles and replaced the pump and even fixed some of the not so good job done previously by a reputable tuning company. At one point the full front of the car was dismantled, yet all of it is perfectly put together now! My car is from 2006 so that would have normally added to the effort, but the team has been impeccable. They made sure that the work is double and triple checked so that everything is in right order (even fixed my loose bumper!) I am extremely happy with the work and impressed with the care they showed to the car. They understood that it’s important to feel comfortable and confident in my car and they went above and beyond. Heartfelt thank you to Abbs and his team, I know it wasn’t easy, I really appreciate it!

    Abs has been great - very swift to change the tires and had an issue with the oil being over filled from another Halfords centre when it had a service two weeks ago. Abs road tested it, got the oil issue fixed at the other centre and I collected it at end of day. Thank you!

A big shout out to Ella, she was very helpful with booking my car (Hazel) in for it's MOT, and rang to give updates on the car on the day as it had some extra work on it too, Which they was also happy and able to fit in same day. Charlie and the team were very friendly and helpful too and did a great job. A big thank you to the team and will definitely be using this branch again

    Since joining Halfords I've been very pleased with the service of the mechanics and customer support officers. I booked my vehicle for a MOT. When I brought my vehicle to the centre, I meet Ella who was welcoming and pleasant. A few hours later Ella called me to state that I needed a part for my vehicle. I was happy with her report and I told she could order the part for my vehicle. I was happy for her to do so. The order came through and my vehicle was repaired. Happy Customer

    I called up and asked if they had appointment times for checking my tyres for a slow puncture, they told me to come down when I can. I arrived 10 mins later. I got asked to drive my car into the entrance of the garage where someone had a little feel of my tyres and then sprayed some water on one half of one tyre. No professional removal or examination of my tyres at all. I get taken to the front desk where he quotes me £70 for one tyre. I mention, just in case it’s important (I’m a new driver so haven’t been through this process before) that I have slightly lower profile tyres. This jumps the price up to £170, still for 1! The manager is nearby and had seen him check my tyres with the car still on the ground and he asks the man quoting me if he checked for other things and if he lifted the car and check all around and on the inside. The man helping me replies no and then gets told “You cant check a tyre like that”. Long story short I took the quote on paper, went to KwickFit and got both my tyres replaced for £150. Oh also, the tyre he quoted me on (the £170 one) wouldn’t have even fit on my car because it’s for Audis and Mercedes etc and I have a 2016 Peugot 208 :/

    People have every right to wait for their car whilst works are carried out. Shouldn’t be told that it puts the technicians under pressure, if they are good at their job this wouldn’t be an issue at all. I’m pretty sure working under pressure was part of the job spec. Also every time I give car in, it comes back with so much tough black garage dirt on the steering wheel, door cards, floor mat, driver seat, gear stick, handbrake lever and door sills. You would expect to get your car back in the same condition. Cars should be treated with respect, seat covers and gloves should really be essential as it wastes owners time and ruins interior cleanliness maintained by owners. If this isn’t possible then it should be returned back in same condition after cleaning. Jay is a good lad, Ella can be nice, but her attitude switches from time to time. It would be good to maintain a consistent friendly manner and not just choose when to be friendly and to who.

    I was booked for 10 am for one tyre change,I was told it could take up to two hours,what’s the point in having appointments if they make you wait ? After a moan they replaced the tyre in 45 mins which is way to long for a tyre and I had to drive my car in and out as they said there no one who can drive it all though they drove someone else’s car in and out while I was waiting.

    Avoid! Accepts your booking and quotes and agrees to do the work, then can’t do it after long wait. Doesn't open on time. Poor phone communication. Had to take my daughters car back 3 times to this branch. Gave them a second chance with my car. Won’t be a third. Use a genuine motor mechanic would be my advice. Time wasters Halfords Catford! You get what you pay for!
