Phlebotomy: I suspect that the lady who took my blood sample had never done one before. That's how it felt, anyway. She was wiggling it around in my vein so much that I now have a big red mess of blood under the skin in my arm. I wish I'd said something at the time. I won't leave a photo as it's too unpleasant.

I attended at the weekend, I had in my opinion great service, the lady on reception booked me in and I was seen by a very pleasant nurse who dealt with me quickly and in a relaxed professional manner. I didn't feel rushed at all but certainly listened to. The whole experience took less than an hour. I feel that I should add I had no appointment. I turned up unexpected, I did this at another hospital fairly close by on an earlier occasion and was left sitting on a hard plastic chair all night and the next morning walked, out thats the difference. Cannot fault the way this place is run at all. A heartfelt thanks to all the staff, this is how a hospital should be.

Attended the minor injuries unit today for a gash on my forehead. Professional, friendly service from both nursing and reception staff. A big thank you to you all.

I ended up going to the Peel hospital in the late afternoon on the 7th of January 2023 due to shoulder and neck ache with raised blood pressure. My blood pressure reached 213 after the nurse took a reading. I was given an ECG too and my heart rhythm and electrical activity was normal. The receptionists are very polite and helpful. The nurse who treated me was exceptional in how she treated me with empathy and care. An absolutely amazing experience and a credit to their profession. Thank you!

Attended today with an infected cat bite. The staff are all so friendly. As I waited, I watched nurses' and reception staffs interaction with several patients and they were so lovely and helpful. The nurse that attended me couldn't have been more thorough and explained the treatment I'd be receiving, and gave advice should the infection worsen. Such a kind lady. We should value our NHS because we're lucky to have such caring people there for us in our time of need. Sir Robert Peel Medical Unit staff are a credit to themselves and their profession.

Awful experience. More questions by reception and nursing staff about my ‘ethnicity’ and ‘gender’ than time spent diagnosing. Nurse failed to diagnose an abscess resulting in an A&E trip 24 hours later, advising to take paracetamol. Can’t see the point in such a unit if they don’t provide any level of care or service.
