I am not a person to complain i usually am admitted to St James Leeds not going into detail but was admitted to. LGI A and E it was dreadfullwas admitted at 7 30 pm never offered anything to eat or drink even water next morning I told them that I had nothing to eat went through the night exactly the same evening I had my treatment at eg X-ray and was so stressed I asked if it was possible to have a cup of tea the nurse was very polite and offered to get me toast and tea the teas was so cold I couldn’t drink it and the toast was undercooked and so dry I could barely get the little I had down me I asked if it would be possible to replace they agreed but that was it nothing appeared I could go on and on about ways in there but it was so unacceptable no matter I’ll I am never again still can’t give the NHS enough praise but we all know how it is apology again but I hope things approve because I really dread being sent there again unfortunately

Helen Bailey and the team, thank you so much! I had a colonoscopy here on the 11th of November. And I want to say big thank you to the whole team working on that day and special gratitude to Helen Bailey, my endoscopist. I was scared of the procedure, but Helen and the whole team made me feel so comfortable and at ease, I wasn't in pain, I felt good during and afer the procedure. They were saying kind words, gave me a blanket, constantly were asking me whether I was ok, monitoring my pulse and blood pressure. Helen and the whole team are very professional, caring, kind, and careful. I couldn't have asked for a better treatment.

I had such a lovely experience at the delivery suite, thanks to the amazing midwives Sophie and Mia. Sophie was the one who showed me around the delivery suite and clearly explained all the procedures on the day she was so calm, kind and reassuring, which really helped me feel at ease. Mia looked after me during labour itself and was absolutely brilliant — patient, attentive and genuinely caring throughout. The only downside was a slightly uncomfortable interaction I witnessed between two staff members on the maternity ward afterwards — it felt tense and unprofessional at times, which wasn’t ideal in a setting that’s meant to feel calm and supportive. Other than that, I’m so grateful for the excellent care and support from the delivery suite team. Sophie and Mia were outstanding and really made the experience positive overall.

I wanted to personally thank Mr Panas Symeonides for his kind, caring, and reassuring approach. Before my appointment in July, I was quite apprehensive about my situation. However, from the moment Mr Symeonides saw me in clinic, his thorough examination and clear discussion put me at ease. Surgery was recommended after it became clear that all other treatments had been unsuccessful, which gave me confidence in the plan moving forward. Shortly after, I was contacted by Mr Symeonides PA, Katie, who impressed me with her first-class interpersonal skills. Katie was warm and understanding when discussing my surgery date and went out of her way to accommodate me following a cancellation, which meant I was offered the opportunity to be booked in within weeks. Her friendly manner and attention to detail made the process much less stressful and gave me great reassurance during a difficult time. While we often hear about challenges within the NHS, my experience demonstrates what an incredible public service it truly is. The most important factor is undoubtedly the people, and both Mr Symeonides and Katie are exemplary role models. Their professionalism and compassion made a significant difference to my journey, and I am sincerely grateful for their support. Please feel free to share my thanks with the wider team. Thank you again for making a difficult time much easier.

Experience started off very uncomfortable… receptionist was absolutely horrible and extremely hostile. However, once checked into A&E, nurses and doctors were very friendly. Did wait just shy of 4 hours to be seen, however this was due to my case not being seen as an urgent priority (fair enough), and what more can we expect under a tory government underfunding the NHS. Overall, not bad :)

I am currently a patient at LGI....I was involved in a head on car crash. I am at the beginning of my stay... I really must say that EVERY member of staff I have come into contact with are absolutely amazing with no exception at all. I feel well looked after, safe and secure. I am in the best place possible and will never be able to thank LGI enough.

Excellent care and consultancy. Reassuring to know that your health conditions are regularly assessed and that an action plan is available if required. Very grateful for monitoring over the last 10 years or so. Wonderful staff in my experience.

Went to the leeds chest clinic all the staff was absolutely lovely! From the man who did my lung function test, the nurse on reception area for my xray and my consultant. Also just general staff in the department who was just smiley as i walked passed it makes a huge difference. I was there a good few hours and have absolutely no complaints.

Absolutely pathetic. Went in on a Friday at 1pm for an MRI, waited 8 hours only to be told to come back the following Monday 9am as my case ‘wasn’t an emergency’. Came Monday 9am and was sat for hours on end only to be told the same thing that evening. Wasted 20 hours of my life just to have my blood pressure checked twice. I also had an 83 year old man sat with me waiting for 10 hours too. Useless and incompetent staff who don’t communicate with one another.
