   My experience with Shush Interiors, and with Solomon in particular, was extremely disappointing. In my honest opinion, the service I received was unprofessional and very disappointing. I purchased a £500 chair which, upon delivery, had a strong smell of what seemed to be old pet urine. This was confirmed by a professional upholstery cleaner we consulted while the chair was in our possession. This issue was never mentioned during the sale. When I raised it politely over the phone, the response I received was aggressive and accusatory. I was even called a “scammer” and told I “look like the type,” which I found offensive. After that, I requested a refund. This was refused, and I was sent long, hostile text messages instead. I was told that a “no refunds” sign meant I had no rights, even though UK consumer law gives customers the right to a refund if goods are not of satisfactory quality. To try to resolve things fairly, we agreed to arrange a visit for Solomon to inspect the chair himself. During that visit, he became argumentative and made further accusations, at which point I asked him to leave. Eventually, I agreed to sell the chair back to him for £200 to bring the situation to a close, which was far less than I had originally paid. We had the chair professionally cleaned while in our care so a deduction was fair. Overall, this whole experience was stressful and unpleasant. In my view, this is not how a professional business should treat its customers. There are plenty of other furniture shops in Leeds and Yorkshire that offer better service and deserve your custom far more.

   Just bought two stunning swivel chairs, one being an original 1970s Parker Knoll - the other, a stunningly reupholstered Swedish egg chair. Solomon was brilliant, knowledgeable and very friendly, so thanks again for your help today. I can't wait for them to be delivered!! As you can see, they have arrived and look perfect in our home. Thanks again Solomon, I hope to do business with you again.

   I visited this store a few weeks ago, dealt with the owner, I think his name is Solomon. I bought a chair which was described as being from the 1960s, it turns out the chair was made by Temu, yes the cheap chinese online retailer, chair probably cost £5 new.. I did an image search for the chair as I was dubious about its origin once I got home and Temu came back as the origin. I paid £100 for a chair that cost £5. Avoid this shop at all costs. I will be spreading the word!!!

   Have been in and out of the shop for a few months and always excited to get something. Whenever i’ve been Solomon has been a lovely host and even talked me down after i offered more for a shirt, a true pillar of Leeds and hope to be a patron for the rest of my life.

   Solomon was a fantastic and knowledgeable host for his amazing offering of mid-century furniture and vintage obscurities. Bought a lovely vase and trying to figure out where two beautiful Italian lounge chairs may go in our home, hope they still there when we’ve decided. A must visit if you’re in Leeds and looking for a unique item for your home.
