Utterly useless, surely just a matter of time till this company disappears! Turn up for an appointment which had been confirmed only to be told that they donβt have enough mechanics and wonβt be able to inspect my car. Theyβre clearly not bright enough to have thought a phone call to tell me wouldβve been useful so instead decided to waste my time and wait till I arrived to tell me. Use absolutely any other company apart from Halfords

I must say it was a breathe of fresh air to be have someone as cheerful and personable as Ilektra assist with checking in my vehicle for a pre-arranged MOT. The van was swiftly processed through the MOT procedure with Andrew and came out with a clean bill of health. I was called immediately once it was completed and duly collected the van. A great level of service from all team at Orpington. Well done!

Took car in for a two wheel alignment. Was advised with was performed, but steering wheel was not set straight so now neither wheel is aligned with steering angle sensor. Now need to take car to VAG dealership to get alignment corrected Update: Contacted Halford via customer service and sent 3 email communicates to the garage, but have received no response to even try to resolve now taken to get fixed at another indie garage Image attached shows what Halfords said is aligned. Totally horrifying what Halfords state is a safe road worthy job.

Wow I've never been so shocked in all my life from a car garage being so deceitful and personally I think, probably targeting women that are not knowledgably about cars. My wife took her Peugeot 106 down for a MOT and 2 new front tyres. Apparently after the tyres were changed. She was told she needed two new disks and brake pads and the front passenger side hydraulic piston wasn't working. She had a quote to repair it for over Β£500. I mentioned that for that price, you'll have half towards buying another 2nd hand Peugeot, as it was half the cost of what the car cost us in the first place. I went down to southern motor factors and pick up all the parts they quoted for Just over Β£120, for all the parts listed on the quote Halfords listed. The worst part though was when I got home and removed the first front wheel. Only to find that the disks had clearly been changed before we brought it. probably from the last service. After checking both side of the car it turns out that. Just on pad that was a little worn more than the rest, but all pads had lots of wear left and didn't need replacing. On top of that after checking the hydraulic piston was working perfectly with no problems. I changed the worn pad just as we had them and returned the rest. Needless to say the car past the MOT with flying colours. Oh forgot to say we cancelled the MOT with Halfords and got it done by our local garage. Would never use this company again. Absolutely disgraceful they could do something like this to anyone. I might of understood from a private garage. However I don't get how conning some one in a big company like Halfords would ever get extra pounds in the pocket of the person that is missing selling you. Wouldn't go near this garage unless you know about car and the repair of cars. Otherwise if they see you don't know they are very likely to rip you off.

I needed 2 new tyres. Finding what I needed, booking an appointment and paying all online was easy. Price was competitive. I arrived on time, the car was taken into the workshop straight away. I was given an estimated 1.5hrs to collect, it was actually ready within the hour. Staff were friendly and efficient. Would have been 5 stars but only complaint was dirty marks left inside the car on drivers door and steering wheel, obviously from dirty hands. Other than that, great.

Booked for a cam belt check, told me I had a chain which I know was incorrect because it is actually a wet belt which means they didnβt even look at it. They got quite bolshy when I challenged them. At which point the 3rd person said they donβt actually look at the belt, they look at the age and mileage and tell you when it should be changed, which a quick google or call to the manufacturer can tell youβ¦ totally pointless service!

Absolute joke. This is that typical rip off mechanic but in a big company uniform. DO NOT USE THEIR MOT SERVICE!!! They will try to fail your MOT for made up reasons, unnecessary repairs. They are fishing for gullible and naive car owners and if youβre one of them going in theirs, GOD HELP YOU!

Terrible service. Went here for MOT. Took 1.5 hours to complete. To be told something very obvious is broken on the front which causes it to fail the MOT. There is no way this would have been broken and not noticed by anyone prior to coming here especially with being so meticulous with my car. Also then I am told as if they are doing me a favour that it is 14.99 for partial retest within 14 days or 10 working days and another 15 for relalignment of some headlight but they can't fix the broken part themselves. All felt a little unprofessional and forced. Also other test centres (4 in total) I called - agreed that it should not be failed on this. Seems to me they are looking of ways to make a few extra ££. Steer clear guys
