    Ordered my sofas on June 8th, expected delivery date August 8th, it is now September 2nd and I have not received a single email or phone call to advise me of anything whatsoever. When you try to ring local branch it will take on average 20 attempts to get through, spoken to all 3 employees on different weeks and each time story is the same: “no clue why it is delayed, we will email the supplier and get back to you”. So far, a one star experience at best, perhaps if my sofas miraculously appear in the next week in new state and correct colours (which judging by other reviews isn’t guaranteed), I’d be inclined to change this to 3 stars at best. *UPDATE* Turns out sofa was never properly ordered due to system issues which I only found out by physically popping in, at no point during any of the phone calls was this explained. After complaining the manager suggested he would try and sort out a loaner as my new ETA is end of October. It is now 3 weeks since that conversation and no loaner nor any other communication.

    Worst service EVER! Ordered sofas on 20th Feb 2025, its 20th June 2025 and still no sofas. The team in store can't ever provide any details and are clueless. I've sent multiple emails and never got a response! This company doesn't have a clue what customer service is!!! I regret ever stepping foot into this store. 1* is too high but no option for 0*

    A one star review is too high for this so called furniture chain. If you are looking to purchase furniture, DO NOT GO TO SCS! From the day following my purchase the issues started. First it was the fact the the sales staff had somehow ordered my sofa, chair, and buffet in different colours. This was eventually remedied, after being told there may be a charge for amending my order, which was their fault for getting wrong. The delivery date finally arrived only to find that the cushions along with essential parts of the furniture were missing, (legs, recliner power packs, and power leads). After 10 weeks of attempting to contact ScS help centre (in excess of 20 occasions) and repepated repromises that the order would be fulfilled. Three additional deliveries later and after supplying incorrect legs, the order was still not successfully fulfilled. I requested they collect the furniture and requested a full refund. Surprisingly, the collection of the furniture was the only thing ScS managed to get right first time.

    I ordered a settee, chair, and a carpet from the same store in the hope that the delivery could be coordinated to minimise the amount of time having a bare floor and nothing to sit on. Despite promises, this did not happen, and there was a two week gap. When the carpet was laid, there were a number of issues I reported, with photographs to back up my concerns. Three weeks later, there has not even been an acknowledgement in response, never mind any action. The settee has a corner where the staples holding the fabric in place have come away. I discovered this when I attempted to move the settee, and the staple drew blood from my hand. Furthermore, this also reveals how poor the workmanship is in terms of attaching the fabric to the framework, I have seen more substantial staples holding a paper magazine together. There has been a response. However, there will be a further two weeks before anyone comes out to repair it. I fail to understand how this company survives if this is their normal standard of service, care, and courtesy. Message to the social media team : Don't just ask me to forward this review by email with the supporting photos. I have already done that, and it has made no difference.

    Do not recommend this store. We went in and purchased a corner sofa and chaise and paid in full on 26/12/22. We then went back on the 28th to change the configuration as it wouldn’t fit our wall where we needed it. We spent almost 2 hours with Martyn to make sure this was definitely changed - he even showed us the amendment on the screen and we got the paperwork. We’ve spent a lot of money on this and our biggest investment to then have the sofa delivered and it’s the original configuration (1 corner, 2) when we changed it to (2 corner 1) SAYS THIS ON OUR AMENDMENT also as proof. We now cannot shut our living room door, customer service was absolutely shocking. Once we finally got round to speaking to someone we was offered to have the sofa taken straight away, wait upto 10 weeks without any sofa and the proper configuration sofa to be sent back out. With two children this wasn’t an option, we needed somewhere to sit. We then we’re offered £100 money back - now to say we spent close to £2,000 on this sofa it was a poor excuse. After no luck we went into the store (to add, they couldn’t bank transfer or send a cheque, we had to drive all the way back) we got no apology and rude staff. One thing I’ve noticed is that the staff come across so caring and lovely if they think you’re going to purchase a product but as soon as you’ve bought it or have an issue, you see the real lack of professionalism. We were so excited, a long time saving to have this experience.

    We ordered our new sofas nearly end of October and when we ordered we told the sales person we want them delivered end of January and they said that's fine now there is a delay from the manufacturers waiting delivery to the distribution centre and its not going to be until middle of February before we get them they have plenty of time to get them made and ready for our delivery sorry but won't be using SCS again

    We didn't originally go here to buy, just to see what was available. However after much discussion with David in this store we came out having ordered two new settees. Just have to wait and see if the follow up is as good as the sales side. Will let you know.

    PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!! STEVEN IN HUDDERSFIELD HAS CONNED ME OUT OF MY HARD EARNED CASH DURING A FINANCIAL CRISIS. I ordered a set of sofas roughly 3 months ago. I asked the salesperson if I would receive the sofas in parts and whether staff would assemble them… staff at SCS advised me the sofas would be assembled in the house. I removed my old sofas as I was advised my new sofas would be delivered. When the sofas arrived, they were in one part hence why they were unable to get it through my door. I am having to sit on the floor with my kids. SCS manager is very rude and is demanding I pay £600 extra to have someone assemble the sofas inside the house. I am appalled by the customer service provided and will not shop at SCS again. The staff are stuck up, unhelpful and ignorant. Save your money and shop at recognised brands who have strong values. SCS is run by a bunch of cowboys trying to sell low quality products at extortionate prices. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
