Have prevously used this garage and Harry was very good. This time I dropped it off for a parking sensor fault issue. Michael called and was unable to diagnose the issue. He then advised I was leaking a lot of gear oil and it could cost me thousands if I didn't sort it out. I was already aware that the driveshaft seal was very slightly weeping after a previous inpection from the main dealer who didn't think it was a a problem and I informed Michael of this. He said he didn't have time to investigate it so advised he would top up the gear oil and get it booked in another time which I agreed. When I went to collect the car bearing in mind I had nothing to show for it, I was presented with a bill for £304.66. This included £160 for parking sensor investigation and £124.66 for topping up the gear oil by apparently 400ml. Immediately when driving my vehicle away, a tyre pressure warning light came on. I found a fresh screw was in a tyre. I informed the garage and they took the position that I must of hit the screw on my way home. The cost of the tyres on my vehicle are £250 each and I ended up having to call the AA. Following this, I felt I had to cut my losses and I went to the main dealer who charged me £100 to diagnose the parking sensor issue. They also looked at the suppsed oil leak and stated the issue remained to be a very slightly weeping driveshaft seal which was not a concern but just an advisary future repair.
I have used Michael and team at Walsh Vehicle Management since they opened for business and I wouldn’t use anyone else. Having used other mechanics in the area before, I find WVM completely transparent and 100% fully trustworthy when either fixing a fault or undertaking my annual MOT/Service and have recommended and still do to friends, family or people on social media that I do not know.
