My favorite breakfast spot in Manchester. Feels so authentic. Their English breakfast is deliciously flavorful and filling. If you want to give someone a traditional mancunian experience this is a great spot. Ps: many halal options!

This is a nice little cafe to stop off at and they do some hearty looking meals, but they didn't have enough vegan options for me, that's all. There was only African looking lady behind the counter there and I thought she could have been a bit quicker really, even though she was nice and helpful and when we left, we said goodbye and she said, thanks and goodbye also. Not very busy, when we went in so the atmosphere was good, as I don't like places that are loud and over-busy, crowded places anyhow. I would go there again, though my partner who I was with, Steven, didn't rate their coffee, that's all. The seating we choose in there, was comfortable enough also.

So, I tried their Rossiter's chicken with creamy pasta salad, baked potato, and a wild salad. Overall, everything was good, but I thought the chicken was a bit bland. It was juicy and cooked well, but it didn't have much flavor - it could have used a little salt. The rice, on the other hand, was perfectly seasoned and cooked right. The salad was also really good. The creamy dressing was great, and the salt was added just right. If you're looking for something new and different, I would definitely recommend giving it a try!

Breakfast was nice, and the food tasted good overall. However, the presentation could have been better — my plate looked a bit like canteen food. That said, it’s a good halal breakfast spot with a nice variety of options to choose from.

Was probably the best Sunday roast I’ve had in a long time. Staff were friendly and food was amazing and reasonably priced. I would definitely go back and highly recommend.

Was recommended this place by many people. We chose the Lamb Roast and the Beef Roast. (Fully Halal) I would definitely recommend the Lamb Roast! The Lamb was very tender and flavourful. With the Beef Roast however, the Beef slices didn’t seem fresh and were somewhat dry. There was also a lot less Beef compared to the Lamb Roast. Overall, the customer service was good and the pricing was decent.

Lacked costumer service. No smile, no enthusiasm. Workers looked like they just woke up and were forced to work. Only two workers who were handling the kitchen, calls and Waitering - Had no salmon - coffee was watery and running down the side of the cup. -forgot to give the water we ordered. So had to take it from the fridge -worker assumed we didn’t want beans with our food and we had to ask for it. - cutlery wasn’t given to us -asked for sugar - was given 3 packets between 4 people. - eggs were over cooked … wasn’t really a English breakfast experience. - asked if the door (not the entrance door) could be closed as there was draft coming through and we were expected to close it ourself. -burger sauce was given with the breakfast Wouldn’t really come again.

Wanted to try something new for a change so I opted for a Sunday roast. Having come across Essy on social media, I felt it best to visit and try it out for myself. The Sunday roast chicken was very nice and didn’t disappoint whatsoever. The chicken panini was good and the French toast I felt could’ve been a lot better (tasted quite eggy and could’ve used proper brioche roll). On a overall, the food and service was very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
