DO NOT USE THIS GARAGE! TLDR - High prices, horrible owner, terrible customer service. After an expensive bit of work the garage did on my car, I left a bad review as I felt the work was overpriced and others should be aware (£738.77 to fix a stuck window!) Following this, the owner of the garage harassed me and my family, repeatedly calling us, trying to intimidate me into taking down the review by threatening legal action. I would advise anyone and everyone to steer clear of this place unless you are prepared to deal with this kind of business owner! It’s not just me that thinks this - see other reviews that mention the owner being ‘abrasive’ and ‘abrupt’. In my view, there would be a lot more bad reviews of this place if this wasn’t the kind of response! Plenty of other friendly garages in the area. Use this one at your own peril!
My brother left a review and they called up threatening him with legal action. They have also been calling my mother as well. Personally I think this is not the way to go about business
Refused to service my Landrover 110 that is in great order as “they can’t make enough profit on them”? #baffled as they had sent me a letter which they say “must have slipped through the net”. Had my father’s car repaired there for years too - but no more. Will now look elsewhere for a garage that wants to do work
I had not used this garage before, it had been recommended. They collected my car from an mot place, took it back to their garage to fix the repair, then returned to mot place. Collected it for me and looked after my car until I returned from my travels. Over and above the call, its not often that you receive such a helpful and friendly service.
Well thank God for that, he is very hard to find a good mechanic with great customer service. Sharon has been amazing the last few days for my MOT and I’ll be using them for your car services from now on five star
Have been going back to Antwis for MOTS and other work on multiple cars for a while. They are reliable and have a wealth of knowledge for diagnostics and repairs that are beyond the typical scheduled maintenance items required. Highly recommended as a garage for MOT, service and repairs.
I have used Antwis several times - I have never found them anything but helpful, professional and easy to deal with, as well as reasonably priced.
Had an issue with my car at 8:15am, Antwis told me to bring it in straight away. By 9:30am they called me having diagnosed the problem and quoted the (very reasonable) cost and the car was ready for collection by midday. Excellent professional service, very friendly and knowledgeable, explained exactly what had gone wrong and what they had done to fix it. I will definitely be using them again in the future and would recommend to anyone
Had a routine MOT done plus an A/C re-gas - All simple stuff but they kindly picked the vehicle up from home ( I'm shielding ! ) Kept me informed and dropped it home - no need to scrutinize the bill unlike another local garage - I haven't got a PHD in what goes on under a bonnet but I know that a car doesn't need 4 air filters and an undertray only needs 1 set of fasteners not 4 ! Wish I'd used these guys years ago .
