Booked this hotel as my daughter was getting married in the area. The rooms were reasonably nice, clean but still had some charm to them. There is a large car park at the rear with easy access. I have been disabled for years and since booking the hotel my son in law unfortunately lost his leg in an accident. Unfortunately there is no lift and on hindsight the top floor was probably not the best place to book, but we figured for a few nights it would be ok. The stairs were actually not that bad. The bar was clean and friendly, so no complaints. The staff however were absolutely amazing. They could not have been nicer or more professional. The hotel felt more like staying with friends than a hotel. Whenever we had a problem they went above and beyond. They were more than happy to help with the mobility scooter, getting it up and down the stairs, making sure it could be charged, never felt like they were put out at all. Will definitely be returning at some point when we can enjoy the stay without the wedding stress. With all the problems with organising the wedding, the grooms accident and general wedding nerves the day should have been a disaster but the staff made us all feel like everything would be fine, and it was, largely due to the way they treat the guests and the fantastic atmosphere they give off. Quite sad leaving as they felt like new friends by the end of the stay. Short version, hotel ok, staff amazing.

Room size was ok and shower was powerful. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good. The main issue for me is the location, and the fact I asked for an earlier check in and didn't really get a straight answer.

Recently had our wedding here pros and cons. Peter is helpful and friendly and stayed in constant touch throughout the process. The day itself I paid for welcome drinks which was meant to be bucks fizz and was possibly prosecco not sure but wasn’t the nicest and was warm. I also paid for juice for the kids which we didn’t get and orange juice plain again didn’t see that. The buffet was lovely everyone commented on the food I asked the time to be changed to 7.30 but was served at 8 so the guests were getting hungry by then. But the food was top quality and worth the money. Sarah was really snappy she’s the deputy manager and had a go at my brother about having another drink even though he wasn’t even that drunk and it was a private function and he was fine and happy so don’t know what that was about it was rude. She shouted at my brother in law for standing by the steps smoking it’s not what she said it’s the delivery it’s not good. They started throwing all the food away after under two hours if not less which I did ask them to leave the sandwiches Sarah shouted that she couldn’t do that well I paid a lot of money if I went it left out it’s up to me and it all got chucked in bin bags in front me. It was a lot of waste and some guests did go back to try and have more and it was gone and I don’t think that’s fair when I asked them to keep it out. I couldn’t locate my flowers or anything the next morning and was told they couldn’t find them by the morning staff but I rang back on the afternoon and someone said they were in the office so family had to go back for me. They questioned our 20 year old son for ID which he forgot and I had to argue with them to serve him which I don’t want to be doing on my wedding day. Some of the staff are moody and make you feel rubbish not ideal when you’re spending a fortune for the event and guests are spending money in the bar. The bar needs more drink choice no Malibu no tequila rose no shots of any kind. The room was nice and I liked it and the breakfast was ok but a bit cold. We did have a lovely wedding despite the mishaps but customer service needs improving Peter is nice though. Thank you

Stayed here for business, rooms a bit dated but to be expected with an older hotel. Perfectly adequate. Superb and friendly staff, especially Tamsin in the bar and front desk. Fantastic breakfast which set me up for the day, no need for lunch. Bar downstairs which has good range of dri as and open until midnight for residents. Will stay again. Excellent location, with parking at the rear and a short 10 minute walk into the town centre.

We recently stayed at this hotel for three nights, and while there were a few positives, unfortunately our overall experience was mixed. The room was very hot, and the window only opened a few centimetres – right above the noisy kitchen exhaust, so fresh air was impossible and the smell of fried food came in constantly. There was a table fan, but it was so dusty I didn’t want to use it. When we politely asked at reception if there might be a possibility to switch to another room, we were met with a very unhelpful and rude response from a female staff member, apparently the deputy manager. Instead of even checking if a different room was available, she simply said: “The kitchen fan has to be on. We could turn it off, but then the fire alarm would go off – and you’re welcome to explain to the other guests why the alarm is ringing.” That was very disappointing customer service. As a result, we stayed in the same room. Sleeping was difficult due to the heat, though I must say the bed itself was comfortable. Cleanliness was also an issue: stains on the carpet and chairs, a discoloured shower curtain, greasy fingerprints on the inside of the window, and the reading lights above the bed didn’t work. Overall, the room looked quite tired and in need of renovation. Also note that breakfast and parking come at an extra cost. On the positive side, two other staff members, Peter and Eva, were both very friendly and helpful – a big contrast to our first interaction. Their positive attitude made a difference, and we appreciated it. In summary, while there are some good points (friendly staff like Peter and Eva, a comfortable bed), the poor air circulation, noise and smell from the kitchen, lack of cleanliness, and the rude service from the deputy manager unfortunately overshadowed our stay.

Nice hotel. It is a 10-15 minute walk from the town centre. Room was good size but faced the main road and the double glazing seal is shot, so a lot of road noise early morning. Plenty of good, free, parking space. Breakfast quality was excellent and service friendly and efficient. We will use the hotel again when visiting Lichfield.

Not the first time I choose this Hotel. It is OK for my belongings. Room good size, clean and everything there what was needed. Parking area not that huge and almost every evening full. Breakfast freshly cooked to order. Would book again. Not too far from the Cathedral which do have looked every time I was in Lichfield.

Staff were delightful. Room was immaculate, showers were lovely, hot with excellent water pressure. You can tell the staff work hard to keep the rooms clean and it's evident. Excellent value for money. Breakfast was lovely. Really enjoyed my stay.

Some of the decor a bit dated, felt like I was in the shining. The shower is rather powerful which was great though feel it had anger issues and had been dating the floor and fell out. Staff were very friendly. Barry turned a blind eye to me stealing coco pops in the middle of the night cos I was starving. Lassie had ocd issues with the crisps layout. Bed was comfy n slept like a baby. Would stay again if I am in Lichfield again. 5 minutes walk to pubs Breakfast was excellent.
