Average hotel. Room could've done with a refresh. Was very small for a family room, and wasn't as clean as it expect with various stuff under the pullout bed and behind the master bed which wasn't difficult to spot. Breakfast was good, as was the location. Car park and driving directions could've been more accurately detailed.

Lovely hotel, booking in was easy. The room was clean and cozy. We did have some issues that were easily sorted fast. The breakfast next morning was yummy, a big range of different choices and drinks. Once we left our room we could leave our bags with the reception in a locker so we could goto the Bullring without having to lug suitcases around. The staff were friendly and polite.

Great location within walking distance of the NIA with lots of restaurants and bars along the way. The hotel is clean and the staff were friendly and attentive. We were on the 14th floor so we had a good view from the window. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hot breakfast was very good and they had a vegetarian option too. The hotel was very busy but expected this being in the centre of Birmingham. Car park is a short walk (about 5 mins) from the hotel and we pre-booked this, which is advisable.

Really lovely stay. Gifted for my birthday via a buy a gift voucher, put on floor 11 for a nice view, room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was lush with its own pancake maker and regular rotation of food. Also loved that had bigger glasses for juice unlike other cheaper hotels ( it’s the small things in life) great location for a good night out.

It's was my first time staying at this hotel. I really like feel of the interior. It is modern and bright. The hotel staff were welcoming the bed was one of most comfortable I have experience so far staying in Birmingham. The rooms are nice and spacious. The shower is nice great water pressure.

For a budget hotel, the standards were first class. The entire place was spotless and fresh looking. Staff were chatty and knowledgeable. Rooms were well kept, nicely laid out and also very clean. Located 5 minutes from New Street Station and the city centre.

Great hotel, very clean, quiet, warm, good breakfast inc in the price. Great location with short walking distance of New Street Station, shops, bars, cafes, restaurants, art galleries, library, canal, Cathedral and Christmas Markets too! Well done Holiday Inn Express staff!

Absolute great for a 2-star Hotel. Good modern and functional standard rooms especially for single travellers. For 2 people the Standard rooms might be a bit small. Good breakfast and great location: less than 5 minutes to the Mailbox, 5 minutes to Broad Street and maybe 10 minutes to National Indoor Arena.
