We visit a lot as near to us and good deals as gold members but came in last night and honestly the young lad serving us was outstanding nothing was too much, so polite etc so much so that we asked his name as we were leaving so say a huge well done to Rhys!!.
Very nice place a bit of slow service but staff very efficient easy to talk to .food excellent. No atmosphere but very comfortable place to eat
We always get the same waitress who never can get our order right. My mum is a right Karen and unfortunately kicks off every time. Please sort it out, it’s honestly taking years off my life every time we go having to listen to my mum getting so pissed off. We have a lot of dietary requirements and that seems too much for the little devices they use to order to deal with. This time our order actually never got sent off to the kitchen. Each time we say we aren’t coming back but it’s our local so has us in a choke hold. My pizza also came crunchy which is not ideal. It was too over cooked even for a romana. I told the manager who honestly seemed done with everything that day and didn’t seem surprised at all when our waitress messed up multiple times. She ended up remaking my pizza for me! That’s the only reason I’m giving 2* not 1, the manager was amazing. The pics show my first pizza and then after the manager recreated it. My doughballs were also so small this time like malteasers but I didn’t get a pic. We can’t stop coming because of the good deals we get being gold members.
So, don’t even know where to start… I used to be in love with Pizza Express when I was working in central London and it was always my “go to” for lunch. I don’t know what changed, but their portions are smaller and the prices constantly go up, whilst the quality is also in quick decline. I finally decided to write a review because I ordered, about half hour ago, an order for collection. I have a mild allergy to rocket, which means that I can tolerate foods that get in contact with it, but cannot actually eat even a gram of it… therefore, I ordered, as I always used to, their Grand Chicken Caesar salad, that is supposed to have only cos lettuce as “leafy ingredient”, nothing else. To my big surprise, I got home to a demonic mix of leaves, mainly rocket to be clear, a tiny bit of lettuce and some spinach - see photo. I thought that I was maybe confused and I rechecked the menu on their site - see the second photo. And I was right! As per the standard recipe and their own menu, Pizza Express should have not given me a salad based on mixed leaves. Disappointing, even more so as they don’t deliver all the way to our home, so we had to drive for half hour to get there.
super slay service. Ailis served us very well. Very informative and attentive. food was good and arrived promptly. would recommend to a friend for sure.
An ideally located restaurant close to public transport links and within walking distance of Masters Park, The Barn Theatre, and the Everyman cinema. The atmosphere is relaxed, but lively, and the food is amazing.
Our families favourite restaurant. Food at this branch is delicious. Service is an bit hit or miss depending on which server you get.
They did not have two of the main ingredients for the nourish bowl so I asked for some olives and extra humous instead. There was far less humous in the bowl than I normally get in the Caterham branch. When I asked for more the chef gave me an extra teaspoon of it. Humous costs pennies. Mean chefs. Good waiters. Disappointed.
Quiet when we visited, service lacked as they stood around chatting. Dirty glass with lipstick stains and took ages to change as they were busy chatting
