Always call in here for a beer when we have had the dog out on the top end of the Moss. Loads of interesting railway memorabilia, great outdoor seating . Dog friendly and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Never eaten here but from other reviews and the constant stream of meals coming out of the kitchen really need to try it ! Great place for a quick afte work drink when you get off the train , or a takeout when going into Manchester . Got to try Ronan's homemade cakes... you won't be disappointed!

We went here for a family meal and had a fantastic time. The food was excellent and fairly priced, service friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Vegans and vegetarians are well catered for and the cakes are lovely. We loved all the old railway themed memorabilia and equipment and our dog was welcome in the cafe.

Great place, with superb decor. Stopped by for breakfast. Great full English and the kids gave the pancakes 5 stars. We happened upon the place, but would definitely plan a visit here again sometime soon. The staff were pleasant; food was really good and appropriately priced.

I went to The Station in Irlam for my birthday meal and it was such a great experience. I had the Sunday roast, which was cooked beautifully — hearty, full of flavour, and served in generous portions. What makes this place really special is the atmosphere: the layout is spacious yet cosy, with furniture that feels inviting, and the décor is full of character. The old station touches — like vintage clocks, phone boxes, and railway-style details — give it a unique charm you won’t find anywhere else. It’s the perfect mix of good food and a setting that really tells a story. A brilliant spot for a special occasion or just a relaxed Sunday meal.

1st time visiting this wonderful trackside establishment and we were blown away with the beauty of the setting and how well this station diner has been kept. Absolutely beautiful setting! We only had a light lunch, fish barm with chips, salads, toasties and drinks. The food was brilliant! Had a slight delay with 2 dishes but no big problem. Staff were very pleasant and coped well during a busy period - lots of arrivals as a few folks were hopping onto trains for a local gig. The station house itself is like stepping back in time. There is a wonderful charm of the place! Inside, there are many old pieces of the time, making this place a bit of a museum and a wonderful nod back to our yesteryears. Loved our visit and we will be back!

A cycle stop. Loved my brunch. Great place to chill for a while, lots to see, before continuing onwards

I rang to ask about buying a voucher to treat my poorly friend, sent email to owner as requested and that was as far as I got. So I cannot tell you how good/not good this place is as the owner couldn’t be bothered to get back to me, waited two weeks for a reply) so that I could spend some of my hard earned £££’s.

Visited today with 2 children.  Beautifully restored and plenty to see.  Free to have a look around both indoors and outdoors.  Lovely sculptures on a walk that is probably a 1 mile circular.  Booked in advance for a table for lunch.  Seated in a lovely replica train carriage, which the children loved!  All of the staff spoke to us like we were regular visitors and had known us a lifetime!  1 member of staff kept seeing us at points during our visit and interacted with both adults and children like he was a friend!  Lots to chose from on the menu!  Was very impressed that children could eat for £1 during the holidays!  Spent approximately 4 hours here in total.  Car parking next to the station.  Would definitely recommend.

This is a most amazing place. A station that was derelict for 20 years is now a lovely restaurant. There are railway lamps and signalling equipment in nooks and crannies, and a wonderful collection of signals outside. The real jewel in tje crown is the signal box that was moved from Keighley. Oh yes I forgot to add, good beer and great, well-priced wholesome food.

This place is a hidden gem that we didnt know about until recently. My little girl is train obsessed and we happened to find this lovely little place. The staff were so nice too and we stopped for cake and hot choc. We will definitely be back. :)
