Poor customer experience I had a very unpleasant encounter with a member of staff today. After waiting in line, I tried to greet the cashier twice. He looked me in the eye but didn't bother to acknowledge me or say a single word back. When I asked for his name to report the lack of service, he refused to provide it. I understand he isn't obligated to, but a bit of common courtesy goes a long way. Iceland management really needs to look into some "good manners" training for the team. Tall/large man with a beard working the checkout.

With the holiday season arriving, change has slightly affected the way items are sorted. Some will find this better

The staff are really friendly here and always greet you when you enter. Although the shops a bit small, they still have a great selection that caters everyone. The only downside is the security guard, although I understand they aren’t exactly insured so what’s the point in them being there.

I was shocked and appalled by the behaviour of a male security guard at your store. He was extremely rude and completely lacking in basic manners or professionalism. Despite being a security guard, he acted as though he were a store supervisor, clearly overstepping the boundaries of his role. I had done absolutely nothing wrong – I simply walked into the store – yet he aggressively shouted at me, repeating, “What number? What number?” I had not touched anything, nor behaved suspiciously in any way, so his actions were entirely unprovoked and unacceptable. I expect this matter to be investigated seriously.

Shop looked faced up well considering the time ,however poor queue management which was reactive rather than proactive. The queue was allowed to build up to 7 behind me before the bell went. 2 of the 4 checkouts were overcrowded with stock purposely and it looked a bit much like the small drinks chiller was in one of the checkout lanes instead of in between where its supposed to go and the other just had home delivery crates stacked up blocking it. This gives off the impression that they don't intend to ever have 2 of the 4 checkouts on probably because of tight labor budgets. Secondly it also looks a bit of a jumble and makes it seem smaller. All in all the intentions are probably right to try and push sales and commercially that makes sense but it does impact on the customer journey. To summarise great focus on the main shop floor and good standards, not enough on the front end/customer.
