The placed was packed, but we were quickly shown somewhere to sit. It's dog friendly. There's a huge menu. We ordered at the bar, but if you have a decent mobile signal there is an app. Drinks then food came quickly. Tasty food and a great atmosphere. We can see why it's busy. Check out the retro posters in the toilets!
Food is fabulous, especially the flatbreads Couldn't work how to reply so I will just add it here. I particularly loved the Persian lamb flatbread, the Shakshuka is excellent but so are the breakfasts. I am there most Saturday mornings waiting for kids to do their clubs and it is lovely to see a busy bar/restaurant. Could not recommend this place enough.
Went for a full English breakfast, the place we were going to was shut today so we decided to give Tambo Lounge a try. The food was excellent and we really enjoyed it. Tea was lovely too, I like it when it's a golden brown colour. Would definitely visit again.
Excellent location by an arcade. Good decor, excellent welcome and service. 3 levels with 2 steps between each. Lovely cakes, coffee, sandwiches, burgers, etc Brixton Reliance Ale is lovely and citrusy 4.2%. Iced cofffees come decaff if required with many milk type options, and syrups.
After walking around Newark in the hunt for a breakfast, we came across this lovely place. The breakfast was delicious, probably the closest to a homemade fry up I've ever had. Reasonably priced for the quality and quantity, lovely quirky place with good atmosphere. Really enjoyable
Had a lovely breakfast at Tambo lounge today. Service was fairly quick and portions were amazing. We specifically requested poached eggs and they were perfect and I requested mine without beans and tomatoes. Had a lovely pot of earl grey tea on the side as well and could pick from a wide variety of different milks and had vegan options too. The “brunch” menu has loads of options as well including vegan and vegetarian options. Staff were really lovely as well and made sure that we had everything we needed and that everything was okay. Really enjoyed it in here and will be back.
Great service and atmosphere, huge space so was able to get a table quick on a weekday night. Dog friendly which is a plus, one of my party brought their dog, he settle quickly on floor and had some water with a bowl they provided, they offered treats but we had brought his own. Food service was quick, used the QR code and ordered on my phone, didn't have to wait long at all. Staff are attentive, and the food portions are excellent for the price and quality. One friend had the vegan burger and can't recommend it enough, excellent burger. I had the cheese bacon burger, added an egg, and it was brilliant! Sundaes are awesome too. Can't say a bad thing about the place!
We’ve had a stunning few date nights here. The food has been tremendous. So tasty, colourful and varied. They take food allergies very seriously and staff has been first class. I love the music and vibe they have created too.
Quirky bar, great change of pace for Newark. Decent cocktail menu. Food's tasty & a bit different to other places in town - the menu changes regularly too so there's always something new to try. Would recommend trying Tambo lounge for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner! 5/5 for uniqueness!
I am a big advocate for Lounges in general because of their incredible and varied gluten free menu. I never feel like I'm struggling for options and there is always something new to try. First time visit to Tambo Lounge but we will definitely be returning. Lovely atmosphere, great food, great and quick service and really fair pricing.
