Came into shop last week and could not reach Guinness zero from the bottom shelf(too far back and suffer from bad knees). Looked around and there were no staff on the shop floor. Went over to the scan and go to ask for help, two of the staff were quite rude, offering no help at all, as though it was not in their job description. However, another member of the staff came along, asking if he could help. The staff member came with me and retrieved the last case of Guinness. Asda management team , his name was Benjamin and he was most helpful. Perhaps other members of staff need to take a leaf out of his book, he deserves some praise.

Worst asda ever, staff is supper annoying and bad specifically at night time. They will keep hold of shopping bags, and if you ask for one they will say go get by your self at end of tills and dont offer you the ones carring in hand. I picked up a bag and paid for it and grocery and lady was watching me, and once I paid she told security that I didn't pay for it. I showed security guy recipient of shopping bag and she was smiling on cornor like making fun of me. Avoid at any cost if dont to embrace yourself.

Cafe review: Mainly came in to use the toilets really but decided to stop for some food while we were here. The toilets were absolutely vile. Toilet paper all over the floor in every stall, one toilet completely blocked by wads and wads of toilet paper, not clean, and one of the soap dispensers empty. Most of the tables were unoccupied but not cleared of rubbish or cleaned. Tissues and wrapping on the floor. Multiple food items unavailable and drinks from the fridge (what was available anyway) were room temp at best. Food was fine, you get what you pay for I guess!

OK Asda branch, its a bit dated inside, the cafe is cheap but it's not great food, though they have decent kids food offers. There is a decent range of stuff on sale, especially catering for the sizeable Asian local population. They have a design your own cake machine, where you can upload your photo, and it prints it onto an edible sheet you place onto your cake which is pretty neat.

Poor customer care. On Christmas Eve my bag for life handle snapped on car park. Glass bottle smashed and two cans of drink burst. Went back in store to explain so glass could be cleaned and also see if these items could be replaced. Was told ‘Company policy states that as I had passed check-out it was not Asda’s responsibility and bag was ‘probably’ too heavy’. I personally didn’t think this was correct and was more likely down to the poor quality of new bags. Asked where the guidelines around what weight should be put in bags was displayed and was told, there was nothing more that they would do!! Next customer please. Very dismissive and rude making me feel very embarrassed. Saw two other people with bags that had broken whilst leaving the store.

Always seems to be an excuse at the pizza counter (or I'm incredibly unlucky) when someone eventually acknowledges your existence. No bases, printer not working, only got these toppings, it's a 25 minute wait so we're not taking orders...go to the Astley Bridge one, much more reliable. On the rare occasion you get one though they're nice

Did some small shopping at this store today, used self checkout , at the end added lotto ticket to my basket, age limit approval message popped up, one of ur staff came to approve it, asked me for an ID to buy lotto ticket! I said I haven't got one, so she cancelled my ticket and walked off, I am 35!!! Educate ur staff about age limits ! Cos definitely I do NOT look like under 18!!

A little busy but it is expected this time during the festive season. But always helpful staff. I got what I wanted I didn't have to cue too long. Considering prices are going up ASDA still very reasonably priced on their groceries and still great fresh vegetables and salads.

Was charged full price for item clearly on offer. Woman at customer service told us to do what we want but we will not be getting a refund as only one flavour is on offer despite them all being on the shelf with the offer. Very rude and poor customer service skills.
