Excellent Sunday lunch lots of gravy which was delicious and the roast potatoes to die for everything top notch
For weeks and months and almost years, we’ve been saying we need to try The Stage but never got around to it but we’re so glad we went. It was quiet, when we turned up at about 12.20 and we chose a table in the window. It was clean and had no glass marks. There was a good choice of real ales and lagers and the pint I had was great (can’t remember which it was). We ordered burgers - a double burger and the ‘Stag’ triple. They arrived within 15 minutes or so and oh my goodness. The burgers were juicy and full beef and no filler. The buns were soft and seed topped with a good helping of salad and a nice thick piece of tomato across them, The onion rings were clearly home made with crisp batter and the chunky chips were plentiful and crispy outside and soft inside. All in all a very tasty and filling lunch. Very impressed and we will absolutely be back again soon.
I don’t usually leave reviews but I’ve really enjoyed my experience. Staff were lovely and helpful, the restaurant was nice and calm and the roast dinner was the best I’ve had in a LONG time. Generous portion and absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely be back
Absolutely brilliant place to eat, in all my years I've never had a steak so good, cooked to perfection, brilliant staff, very welcoming. Would highly recommend as I have done to many people who have now been and like us love the place.
1st time we have been here for a meal. The rump steak was done to perfection. Delicious. Dont normally like onion rings but they tasted amazing. Safe to say we will be back.
The Stag is a wonderful pub, the service is super quick and friendly. It couldn’t be easier using the app to order. The outdoor seating is perfect for the unpredictable British weather. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and good food and drink!
