Excellent. A quirky and lovely restaurant that serves great South African style food with polite and helpful staff. As we walked up the smell of the barbecue was a killer! We had to go in, and weren't disappointed. It has rugged, cosy well suited decor and a great vibe. We will definitely be back.
Decent prices on the wine and beers that I purchased but I’m so disappointed to have wasted £10 on biltong that was so wet and greasy that I gave it to the dog. It was half a bag of fat - not worth the money at all. The boerewors is ok
The food was beautiful, the staff were friendly, and the prices were great. The outdoor seating area was lovely, with relaxing music adding to the atmosphere. Highly recommended!
We were looking for a local South African venue for our wedding to serve 40 people. We had been coming here for a while now, so when we went to stock up up my now wife said lets have it here. I am happy I did as Sharlene and Eric were very helpful in selecting the menu with some extra bits from Biltong potjie pots, getting a particular wine from Boshendal in the Cape, I had last tried over 25 years ago, peppermint crisp puddings, koeksisters and mini milk tarts. Eric did a huge marinated shoulder of pork and beef silverside on the spit and tasted fantastic. It was a memorable night with good food, excellent service, good selection of beers, wine and cider. It was great to introduce some South African food and wine to our English friends and family. They all loved the JC LE ROUX sparkling wine. So good it sold out. Highly recommended for gatherings and days out. Thankyou for a well organised wedding night. Everyone who came loved the venue and loved the food and many will be back to explore your varied delicious menu and try some new foods.
Delicious variety of biltong here, just a shame my dogs stole my last purchases from the kitchen side. Clear that they have good taste too.
Me and my partner popped in today and had some lunch , we shared a burger and some ribs, food was fantastic and owners were super friendly, highly recommended.
We visited for the first time today, after find you on Google. What a lovely little place. The food was amazing and so full of flavor. My husband totally loved the Bunny chow. Read the bad reviews, guys are you sure you have been to the same place. We had a lovely experience and everything you would expect from a street food restaurant. We will be back soon.
Great shop and lovely snack hut. Been there a few times. Love there biltong but they seem to run out of it alot I have been there about 6 times now and half the time they say oh we ran out of biltong, hours before the shop is suppose to close. which is strange as biltong is a method to preserve meat in air meaning the shop should be hanging full of it to make sure you never run out. This is a pitty as it's not a short drive to get there and I only really go for the biltong to hear they ran out again keeps me from going more often. Which is a pity really want to support these kind of shops. Overall love the shop when they have the items and food you want, keep up the good work and think of a way to store more biltong in the shack to make sure you never run out as you must be missing out sales this way.
Beautiful set up in secluded area away from most of the shops offering authentic South African street food and pantry products. The Street food is cooked fresh off the braai (bbq) can be purchased on Saturdays and Sundays. Lovely little family shop.
