Our experience with Howdens was excellent from start to finish, we attended the expo in Howden at the manufacturing site where we picked out our kitchen with the help of the reps who gave excellent advice, we then got in touch with the depot who sent the designer out to measure our room, within 2 weeks we had received the design and prices for 3 different kitchen models. We chose the chilcomb mist blue which you'll see in the pictures, along with natural oak vinyl effect herringbone flooring, all the internals were premium range and they are well worth the extra cost. The whole kitchen transformation took only 2 weeks including knocking out a wall, re-plastering the kitchen and installing new plumbing, eclectic's and a new ceiling, this was thanks to CERAMIC PROPERTY & GAS CARE who's excellent team worked on top of each other to get the job done while we were on holiday. There were a couple of snags all sorted immediately, for example the kitchen fitter noticed the sink was chipped, he called me immediately, we then called the depot, one was in stock at a depot closer to us than Thorne which the fitter drove out to collect, within an hour from noticing the chip he had the sink ready to fit, that sort of service you will never see from the high street kitchen retailers. I will be going to Howdens for all my joinery needs in the future and CERAMIC PROPERTY AND GAS CARE for any work that needs doing to my home.
Helpful staff & not in your face all the time. Not a huge range on display, but have more colours in other office if you are willing to imagine how it will look.
Thorne manageress is vile, disgusting attitude to customers, will not accept responsibility for there mistake. I had to go to extreme lengths over a £8.65 credit for an worktop end cap, that they still have and still wont accept. My recommendation.... use another Depot.
I’m a joiner of 20 years plus , with a Howdens trade account , I tried this branch on initial opening, I found this store to be very problematic, pushy and difficult and error prone that cost me money , and completely lost my trust, I moved to Kirk sandal who were ok, but I now choose to go to York round branch (near range) despite being a lot further away Myself and my customers have 100 percent better Customer service their , helpful and organised , and staff that are genuine n care! I like Howdens products but for better service take extra time out and go York road ! 1 star for Thorne branch 5 stars for York rd!
