1. Myth illogical ★☆☆☆☆

   I bought paper bedding from Fitch First online. The product is advertised as 20L (60L) out of the bag and with bale dimensions given as 420mm x 260mm x 180mm - this is equal to 19656 cubic cm, or 19.656 litres. The product I received, measured at it's widest points (and some sides were narrower by more than 2cm) was 370mm x 250mm x 160mm - this is equal to 14800 cubic cm, or 14.8 litres (though given the irregular shape, what I actually received was even less). If judging the product based on its dimensions, this is 4.856 litres (24.7%) smaller than advertised. Based on the promised litres it is more than 5 litres less than advertised - more than 25% smaller. I don't believe it could reasonably expand to 60 litres out of the bag either. When I contacted customer service to complain, they told me this was from 'settling' - had this been the case (which for a 5L difference is highly unlikely), I should've received a bag that was a quarter empty, but it was not. I asked for a partial refund to cover the cost of the missing 5L, but they told me to return the product for a refund, but would only pay for my postage to return it after they received it if it was damaged or faulty. Based on my interactions with the flippant customer service who 'didn't know what I was getting at' when I told them they had mis-sold the product when they informed me that this was not an error when packing the product, as I first suggested, and the fact that they are clearly not trustworthy, having not provided the advertised amount of product in the first place, I did not trust that I would be properly refunded and would be left out of pocket with nothing but buyers remorse to show for it. Needless to say, I will not be purchasing from 'Filtch' First again and would not recommend if you value integrity.

   I’ve been meaning to leave a review for Fitch first for a while now. I buy their pet bedding each month for my guinea pigs and it really is the best I’ve ever come across and a reasonable price for the amount you get. Also their turn around and delivery is fantastic, it’s free and is almost always dispatched the next day. Highly recommend for small furry pet owners

   My rescue, Scritches Rat and Rodent Rescue, uses Fitch Pet Bedding for all our animals. Chinchillas, Degu, Rats, Mice, Hamsters and Gerbils are all bedded on this. With no need for any extra nesting material, the bedding holds tunnels well and the animals seem to enjoy building huge nests out of it. The most absorbent bedding we have tried so far, great on natural odour control without the use of scented oils or similar, this bedding reduces the smells produced by rats and male mice particularly. It's also dust free and soft, and it doesn't tangle easily in long coated types. Personally, I have also used this bedding for Duprasi, Zebra Mice and Pygmy Mice with excellent results. The staff are friendly, prices are reasonable especially if ordered in bulk and they make a 10kg bag for people who don't have much storage space. We cannot recommend this product highly enough.

   I have to say the service is excellent, very friendly team of people who are very helpful and knowledgeable in their fuels.I bought some Calor gas from here recently,so easy and they brought it out and lifted into the car for me.I will also be purchasing my solid fuels from here ready for winter as they have an extensive range of fuels for the multifuel stove. Not only that but they also produce animal bedding which is great as I will be purchasing this from them also for my guinea pigs. Timothy

   Absolutely fantastic. Great products with a knowledgeable staff who can suggest products that suit your way of life. The guys who delivered our wood brought it in to the house along with our coal and eco-briquettes. Recommend the Hotmax fuel logs as they burn for ages and produce a lot of heat. Recommend Fitch Recycling. Nice to have a company that takes pride in their products and customer service.
