Good handy parking right adjacent to the store. Reasonable pricing, at least for what I was shopping for (a shower). A bit meagre on choice. Checkout quick and hassle free.
Young chap on till was very polite and friendly as I had gone & left my purse at home & he offered to keep items on checkout for me while I went home to pick up my purse. You don't very often get that service from other store's.
If I could put 0 I would. We contacted Wickes for a bathroom design and installation early April 2021. We heard back the next day to book us in for 3 appointments, one meet and greet, one to plan and another to show us the final design and give us a quote. The first appointment we got a phone call 5 hours earlier from Stuart to say he couldn't make the appointment but would call me over the weekend, he never. And then it came to our second appointment which was meant to be a telephone call at 6pm. I got a phone call at 12pm that day to say he could come to our house at 5:30 instead which we agreed was better and easier. Stuart turned up at about 7:15pm (almost 2 hours late) and rearranged our third and final appointment to a week later which again we agreed was better. We turned up for the third appointment, taking time out of work to make it, and Stuart seemed to know nothing of this, saying I'd emailed him to cancel when I hadn't. He apologised, offered us discount and said he could have the designs to us by Saturday at the latest and is very sorry for the inconvenience. On the Sunday we hadn't heard anything and were extremely frustrated, so I wrote a letter detailing our experience and sent it to the customer service team. Its been over a month and we still have yet to hear from either Stuart or the customer service team. We can understand that Wickes is a very busy company however we can't understand why we have been messed around 5 times in a row. We recommend you avoid if you want good quality customer service.
Ordered some paving on click an collect they rang yesterday to say couldn't get to flags as no fork lift driver available. Arrived this morning just after 9.30am not ready. Apparently message not left that it still needed picking. Was picked in 10 mins after arriving so not the worst service hence 3 stars.
Helpful staff, could do with more inventory control / management. My partner came here for the slablayer product two days consecutively. Day 1 none on the shelf but 60+ in the back warehouse. Day 2 the shelf was still empty and staff said there was none in stock and that it would be on the shelf if anywhere until i explained the website says over 40 available...thankfully the guy I asked then decided to check the back. He then brought 11 out
Cant recommended Ray Lythgoe at Wickes Wigan enough, Ray measured up our kitchen and put the design me and my wife wanted together, the price was great as they price matched B & Q. Delivery was extremely quick and we were kept well informed about delivery times etc, I needed to contact the customer support to arrange some extra items to be delivered that we released we needed once we started to fit the kitchen, the process was very quick and was dealt with very professionally. Very good quality kitchen, all fitted well and looks great.
