   This is a great salon…the best in the area by far. Perfect location, and a great atmosphere. Staff here are friendly, attentive, and all highly skilled. There’s nothing they can’t do! The lovely Raisa always does a fantastic job, and I’d highly recommended her to anyone. I won’t go to anyone else. You can’t go wrong with Giovanni’s…great place, fantastic service.

   Crispian at Giovanni’s (of whom he is the son) is a grandmaster barber, if such a rank exists (as is Giovanni). I’ve been coming here for five years every month or so for a men’s cut; I’ve never had a bad result in the dozens of times that I’ve visited. When I first started going, I wandered in on occasion with hair that was way too long, unruly, whatever. Crispian fixed all of it. Short or long, any style I request, my hair has always come out perfect. He knows what’s going to look good on my stupid head even when I sometimes don’t. He’ll tell me when he disagrees with something I request and, of course, he’s always right. Crispian also has impressive social skills, if you care about that sort of thing. He reads when you want conversation or silence and accommodates accordingly. My partner gets a cut and color here after trying out a bunch of places in London that often charge 4x to 5x as much. Every single time, it turns out beautifully, and end up lasting her a good period. (There’s also a neat used clothing store downstairs where I’ve bought some sick vintage stuff).

   Crispian did my hair today. Didn't give him much to go on other than wanted to get rid of my grey and didn't want to be blonde. I have to say he nailed it!! Even though i wasn't sure what i wanted, what i have is better than i could have chosen for myself. Couldn't be happier with the end result and feel fantastic. Really lovely way to spend a couple of hours. Crispian was very professional and great company. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to come out feeling like an improved version of themselves. Thank you Crispian for your patience and expertise.

   I've been changing barbers too often - over the past year I must have tried 10+ different places across all price ranges. I just got my hair done by Crispian and I think I have finally found what I was looking for! Couldn't have asked for better, he read my mind and got me exactly what I was after...finally someone that doesn't need a buzz cutter and can use scissors like a top barber!

   I've been to a lot of hairdressers around North London over the years and found Giovanni's a couple of years ago.Not looked back John & Crispin are great cutters & colourists. Love visiting this salon so family oriented,keeps up with new styles and plays some great music. Always always have my hair blow-dry at Giovannis and it lasts not like some hair salons where it drops out almost immediately on leaving . Long may it stay an established business in upper street .cheers

   I have been fortunate enough to have been going to Giovanni since my early teens and am now in my 50's. I have always enjoyed my experience at the salon and always had a fantastic haircut which was often admired by people who asked who styled my hair. Unfortunately this year I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I have lost my hair through chemo. I have given a fabulous wig by Barts in a colour and style very similar to how my hair was but I felt it was missing John's professional touch. John has personalised and carefully cut my wig just as he did my own hair. He did it with such sensitivity and care he has given me back my confidence. I left the salon with my head held high without hiding under a hat and I felt really good for the first time in many weeks. John said I could go back anytime if I wanted anything else done and in a few weeks I am planning a trim just for a further change. Should you be in my position don't walk around being unhappy with your wig go to John who will reinvent your wig and you! Thank you John your a complete ⭐️.
